Provide a stimulating environment where children can learn to interact with other children and adults, gaining the social skills needed for them to cope with the transition to school life. We supply a warm, friendly atmosphere where each child can develop at his/her own pace, both physically and creatively, always careful to treat each child as an individual.
Services
The day to day running of The Hullbridge Pre-school relating directly to the children is in the hands of our experienced staff. Director, Level 5 Pre-school practitioner in Children Workforce. Paediatrics First Aid qualified and is the GDPR DPO. Kristy is Level 3 Early Years Educator, First Aider, Designated person for safegauarding (Makaton trained) and our Setting Manager.
Our key person system gives each member of staff particular responsibility for a small group of children. Each child in the group has one special adult to relate to, which can make settling into the group much easier. In addition, the key person is in a position to tailor the group's curriculum to the unique needs of each individual child.
We are able to implement an excellent record keeping system in which observations of the children in the group and at home are used and placed into their personal Tapestry record online. Reports are yearly and assessments termly. We use these journals as a basis for drawing up a curriculum to meet the needs of the child.
The main entrance gate and door to the Pre-School are locked during each session, and the door is constantly monitored for activity. We have a door bell located on the Green gate, anyone wishing to gain access to the preschool must use the door bell. Children will only leave the group with an authorised adult over 16 only.
At present Department of Health supplies free, one third of a pint of milk per session to every child in our care. If your child does not drink milk, water or juice is always available as an alternative. Snack will include a range of fresh fruits, fresh raw vegetables (such as carrots and cucumber), sweet and savoury biscuits, cereals and various types of bread (such as toast, pitta bread, bagel etc.).
