We moved into a new purpose built premises in 2011. We have spacious surroundings indoors and out. Both are excellently equipped with the children's individual and developmental needs catered for. Our pre-school is registered with the local Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership and Early Years Alliance.
Our membership to these enables us to keep in line with new developments. We are regularly inspected by OFSTED and a copy of their reports can be seen at the pre-school, on our website, found at the library or on the internet. We are members of the Early Years Alliance, Ofsted registered and we have a registered charitable status.

Services
In community-based settings that are members of the Early Years Alliance, whether sessional settings or full day care nurseries, all parents are regarded as members who have full participatory rights. We also depend on the good will of parents and their involvement to keep going. Membership of the setting also carries expectations on parents for their support and commitment.
Government 3 year funding is accepted from the term after the child's 3rd birthday. This can be split between two childcare providers. Should you go over the maximum number of hours that the Government allocates, you would need to pay a top-up fee to cover the additional hours. If you believe you could be eligible for 30 hours funding, please visit www.gov.uk.
We accept forms once your child has reached 18 months of age. Once we have received the form we will put your child on the waiting list. We will notify you when your child has a place with us and you will be invited to attend an intake day at the beginning of September. Please provide your child with a small bag containing a pair of plimsolls and a spare set of clothes, all of which must be clearly named.
As part of the Department of Education's British Values, we recognise that Grove Road Pre-school is required to ensure children are protected from radicalisation by those wishing to unduly or illegally influence them. At Grove Road Pre-school we promote the British Values of Democracy, the Rule of the Law, Individual Liberty and Mutual Respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
How do Grove Road Pre-School know if young children need extra help and what our parents/carers should do if they think their child may have special educational needs or disabilities? At Grove Road Pre-School we treat every child as an individual. Your child will be allocated a key person who will be responsible for assessing and recording your child's development.
