Zebedee Pre-school is situated in the Shotgate Community Hall and has been running for over 40 years. It has been under the current owner and management since 2009. We aim to provide a warm and welcoming environment for all children and their families. We offer a high ratio of adults to children to ensure that children are able to experience a wide variety of activities each session.
They are given opportunities to express their creativity through role play, small world toys, painting and music. They begin to understand maths through simple counting games, songs, construction and sorting. Self-confidence and independence are promoted through large physical activities. Outdoor play and snack time are used to encourage healthy choices.

The provision for children's development and learning is guided by The Early Years Foundation Stage (2012). Our provision reflects the four key themes and seven areas of learning and development. Children start to learn about the world around them from the moment they are born.
The care and education offered by our setting helps children to continue to do this by providing all of the children with interesting activities that are appropriate for their age and stage of development. For each area, the level of progress that children are expected to have attained at the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage is defined by the Early Learning Goals.
