This is a rather sad establishment. For such a lovely village this is a very big disappointment. The owners could do with upping there game. At least if the weather's nice you can sit outside. Shame the pub across the road has shut down.

Dour, depressing, unwelcoming and filthy. Called in here during a pleasant walk that took us through the beautiful village of New Abbey. On entering the pub, you're met with a sign saying No food, No children, No dogs (inside or outside). Inside, it's like stepping through a wormhole into the 1950's which would be nice but the place is filthy, the glasses were disgusting and the beer and lager were vile. It's a rare occurrence to come across a place as bad as this, but it seems like the owners have given up and the place is dying a slow death. This could be a fantastic little gold mine and a real

Basic no frills old style pub for the locals and walkers. Sign outside accurate and informative. Steamboat and Mabie House for those who require gastropubbery.

Would rate at zero stars if I could.
No food, no children, no dogs inside or outside is the sign greeting you. No cleanliness needs to be added to it. Glasses filthy - some kind of black/brown crud welded to the inside of the glass. Never again.

Good pub food, served with a smile. If you are on a journey and need a bite to eat, a good place to stop.

We had such a laugh here. The barman is a walking encyclopedia and very funny with it..such a nice part of the world..the weather wasn't great...but the hospitality was second to none....and made up for it.. and the near by Abby is totally stunning..

Absolutely loved our stay here at the Abbey Arms Hotel. We were made to feel really welcome. We'd booked accommodation in the area and were badly let down once we'd arrived after travelling for 6 hours, this hotel literally saved us and gave us two perfect rooms for the night. Just minutes away from sweetheart abbey. Our tea was lovely and very good value for money, breakfast was 10/10. Thank you x
