A nice place with huge potential. Friendly staff, ample function space, large terrace space for parties etc. Spa is clean and welcoming. Nice size pool, with sauna, steam room, showers with amenities etc. Gym is a really good size with a wide range of kit. Kit is a bit dated, but if you're an experienced gym user, it will provide you with everything you need. Matthew Jr. was welcoming and pleasant, and Nick was fantastic to talk with, very attentive and openly willing to go above and beyond. We will be back!

Again, my friend and I had a lovely stay at the Cairndale. We both have health issues and staff couldn’t do enough for us during our stay to make sure we were comfortable. Every single member of staff was helpful and friendly. Food was delicious as always and our room was spotless and quiet. Excellent covid safety measures in place, which made us feel safe throughout our stay. Will return!

I had a wonderful time. The staff can't do enough for you. My husband said to them it was my birthday during the stay and we were given an amazing room upgrade. It was a lovely gesture on their part and a fabulous addition to my birthday.

We were reassigned this hotel, due to a promblem with the door locks at the Holiday Inn. Both hotels lovely. Friendly and kind staff. Had a beautiful room and fabulous breakfast.
Both hotels dog friendly.
Holiday Inn had more outside greenery for the pooch which was the main reason we picked it.
Recommend both.

Had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Dinner was inexpensive and of excellent quality. Breakfasts were tasty, although they might get a little monotonous after more than a few days. This hotel's best asset is its staff. Each and every staff member was polite, helpful and friendly, and made us feel like valued customers. My only complaint is that the bar did not serve good quality ale, only the usual pressurised fare.

We stayed for two nights in a twin room. Excellent value for money, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Had bicycles and were able to store these in a lockable room. Room was clean and high ceilings in old part of hotel. Shower was powerful and hot. Breakfast simple but good and super efficient... Dinner was good...again no long wait and tasty. Bar has a terrace which you can sit in and enjoy a partial view over the town. Excellent location, centre of town a 2 min walk. Again, can't stress how good the staff were - brilliant

Nice hotel. A few places could do with redecorating. Breakfast was lovely and the leisure centre is great (gym, pool, hot tub, stream room and sauna). The staff were really friendly and great with our toddler. When it turned out there was no bed for our toddler they sorted it really quickly whilst we were out on a walk. Came back to a camp bed and bedding, all made up for her, and she was really comfy there. Shower was nice! This was a stop off for us on our way from Scotland to England. I feel like you'd need to be going here for a specific reason, because there didn't seem to be a lot to do nearby

I like to complain . The staff gave me no opportunity to do so. What’s to do. I will return to the great service, spacious bedroom , excellent meals both in the evening and at breakfast. This will allow me to find fault but I I know I will fail. This privately owned hotel is top class. I will look at other locations to find fault. The friendly banter and atmosphere encourages a good relaxing break. When I say I cannot recommend this hotel I mean I cannot recommend this enough
