This means you will no longer require to use the intercom when you come to the surgery. Our Receptionists are fully trained and are here to help you obtain the best possible service from the Practice. In order to do this, they sometimes need to judge the urgency of your request and may need to ask you a few questions.
In order to your reduce call wait time and deal with high demands, we kindly request you call the surgery at the specific times shown below, based on the type of your query/issue. OUT OF HOURS / NHS 111: In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS 111 on 111. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
This will ensure that you to get the right help in a timely manner. In addition to the doctors and nurses we are fortunate to have the following professionals at this practice to help you. FIRST CONTACT PRACTITIONER: The Practice now has the services of a 'First contact practitioner' once a week (every monday), whose role in primary care is to assess patients with soft tissue, muscle and joint pain/problems.
These are extremely important. Children are recalled by the local Health Authority computer. If it is more than 10 years since you had a tetanus vaccination you can book an appointment with the practice nurses. The nurses also give advice about travel vaccinations and administer any necessary injections.

Administrative requests such as sick note, referral update/status, doctor's letter or test results. Submitted forms will be read during office hours only (forms will not be read over the weekends and bank holidays).
