Services
Minchinhampton Golf Club was founded in 1889 and now comprises three golf courses, each of quite different character. The clubhouse at the "New Course" was extended during the nineties and was originally an old barn.

The Old Course on Minchinhampton Common was the original "links" set out in 1889 needing a "high" degree of skill, strength, judgement and patience; the people of Gloucestershire are fortunate in having a lovely and extensive common for their golf".
The year-round quality and presentation of the three courses, the tranquillity of the Cotswold surroundings and the friendly welcome you are certain to receive in the Clubhouse are just some of the reasons to become a Member at Minchinhampton Golf Club. Our 125 year history connects the Old Course on Minchinhampton Common with the New Course located 3 miles up the road.
A tough opener to your round, this dog-leg left can play more like a par 5 due to its considerable length. The ideal line from the tee is between the two fairway bunkers to about 220 yards, which still leaves a mid to long iron approach. The green angles across you and slopes from back to front so take care to leave your ball below the hole for an easier opening putt.
The advantage of having three courses is that we can easily play host to visiting societies, whilst still making golf available to our Members. Furthermore, it is possible for visitors to play a mixture of courses should they so wish, and where it is possible, we aim to accommodate requests to play on a specific course.
At Minchinhampton Golf Club, we host regular Open events to welcome visitors to our Club and to play our magnificent golf courses. Our designated Golf Week is always extremely popular, as are many of our other events throughout the course of the year. Below you will find details on many of the Open events we have to offer.

A pleasant course but as a first time visitor I would have appreciated some better sign posting and external lighting. I couldn't find my way out of the car park once it was dark!

What a gem of a course, fastest and most challenging greens I have played this year. We will be back to tackle the Avening course next time =)

Excellent golf club with two courses, one parkland style, the other more links like, if you feel up for it, and time permits, you can play a four ball on one course, followed by alternate shots on the other, with some lunch in between.
The facilities of the club are superb, although the practice area isn't perfect, but good enough.

Absolutely gorgeous - the Cherington Course feels like you're playing Shinnecock or Erin Hills. Especially at sunrise, it was stunning. Tremendous staff as well - the guys at the pro shop went wayyy out of their way to get us on.
