As a healthcare setting with significant footfall we must prioritise the safety of our patients, community & staff. Therefore we will maintain our existing infection control measures & ask all patients who are invited to attend for face to face appointments to wear a mask or face covering whilst in the practice.

By necessity we have ill & vulnerable patients in our premises & we must ensure they are protected as best as possible. We continue to see patients face to face when clinically necessary including routine health checks & screening as we have throughout the pandemic.
Services
You do not require a doctor's sickness certificate for any illness lasting seven days or less. If you are sick for more than seven days, your employer can ask you to give them some form of medical evidence to support payment of SSP (statutory sick pay). With your employer's support, the note will help you return to work sooner by providing more information about the effects of your illness or injury.
As part of our commitment to medical education, Gladstone Medical Centre has been providing medical education and tuition to medical students from Liverpool University since 1998. In addition, since 2005, we became involve in the training of post-graduate doctors in General Practice, providing both clinical and educational supervision for Foundation Doctors.
The NHS 111 service provides urgent medical care or advice when the surgery is closed. If you require urgent medical assistance that cannot wait until the surgery re-opens, please phone 111. NHS Walk-in Centres offer fast and convenient access to local NHS advice, information and treatment. You do not need to make an appointment.
As per advise by CCG, Ordering of repeat prescriptions has changed, We no longer accept prescription requests from pharmacies. In person - drop the repeat slip attached to your last prescription in at reception having clearly marked the items required. By post - send it to us with a stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post it back to you.
People with high blood pressure or a strong family history of heart disease are given comprehensive check-ups. Blood cholesterol check-ups are also arranged. We encourage all our asthma and COPD patients to understand their disease and their treatment. They are also taught how to monitor their well-being at home by the use of the "peak flow meter" (a simple device to record breathing).

0 stars really terrible doctors everytime I went I was made to feel a inconvenience they hardly listened when I went in to ask for help with problems. Ended up struggling for a year with the same problem signed up to another doctors and they sorted it out 1st time because they actually listened to me instead of this one just telling me to stop talking and just googleing everything on the pc, I can do that from home.

Not much confidence in this practice whatsoever where the GP's are concerned.
Not prepared to see patients "face to face" when they have a duty of care towards them.
There are enough sufficient protective measures available to ensure the safety of both doctor's and patients.
The receptionists and nursing staff are exempt from the above comment and they alone merit the 2 stars.

I don’t want to leave any star. this doctors are horrendous my mother is 79 and been with them for 50 years but now she’s getting old they just don’t care. they have left her without tablets a few times. if the doctors can’t be bothered they just don’t sign her repeat prescription. my mother is losing her sight and hearing and they have done nothing for her they say bring her down but how can i when she suffers agoraphobia. if this neglect carry’s on i’m going the local papers and mp about them they should be strook off. and buy the other reviews here they should close the place down

Absolutely shocking GP was more interested in reading computer screen than listening to me, didn't even know what condition I had been prescribed my medication for.

I know the practice has had some serious issues over the years... But credit where credit is due.. Today they found an appointmet with a doctor for my elderly mother within the hour she in turn arranged her to the nurse.. Who gave up some of her lunch time... Prescription dressing and future appointments sorted I also want to thank the reception staff... I know in the real world they would all aim to give this service everyday... But today it worked like a dream thankyou you angels xxxx

From trying to interpret the phone message when you ring, to getting to see a doctor is a farcical experience.
I've only needed to use the practice in the last year and during that time appointments have been made when the surgery is closed, others have been cancelled or rearranged. More often than not I have had to explain all over again what my condition is.
I'm afraid the only good thing can say about this surgery is the endeavours of the receptionists.

Not impressed! My girlfriend goes into the doctors to get pills and the doctor turns around and says "dont overdose this time" whilst laughing! That's not a funny comment end of especially people with mental health problems! The doctors don't deserve there titles, attitude is appalling and they don't take things seriously. Mentioning people's depression isn't funny I've got a mind on reporting that doctor to the NHS!!! See how funny it is then.... YOUR NOT GETTING PAID TO LAUGH AT PEOPLE'S PROBLEMS YOUR GETTING PAID TO HELP PEOPLE!!!!!
