Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription, book or cancel a GP appointment.

You are now able to consult online with our own GP's with a response no later than the end of the next working day. Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction.
Services
If you are not already registered for GP online services please let a member of the practice team know or see the registration tab. All Patients requesting a doctor's appointment will be assessed through telephone triage by either a doctor or nurse practitioner. You will be advised whether to expect a call either during the morning or the afternoon.
Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery when necessary we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do require a home visit, you can help us by calling reception as early in the morning as possible. The reception team will take a brief description of your problem and the doctor will ring you back to assess the urgency of the call.
You do not require a doctor's sickness certificate for any illness lasting seven days or less. It is up to your employer to decide whether you are incapable of work. A medical certificate, now called a 'Statement of Fitness for Work' (see below) from your doctor is strong evidence that you are sick and would normally be accepted, unless there is evidence to prove otherwise.
The Practice will close for Protected Learning Time on the following days from 1pm - 5pm, during these times please call 111:. If you require urgent medical care between the hours 18:30 to 08:00, when the practice is closed, telephone NHS 111. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

For Minor illness and injuries, you could visit the walk-in centres based at Arrowe Park Hospital, Arrowe Park Road, Upton, Wirral; or Victoria Central, Mill Lane, Wallasey which offer nurse led services for minor ailments. How likely are you to recommend our GP practice to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?*
The pharmacy is an accessible health resource for you and your family. Everyone can get advice from a pharmacist and buy medication for a minor ailment or illness. Many pharmacies are open when you GP surgery is shut (evenings, weekends and on public holidays). You don't even need to make an appointment to speak to a pharmacist.

Rude staff. Had my covid jab and both the doctor and nurse were not interested in my anxiety. Just stuck the needle in my arm and told me to wait 5 minutes afterwards. They lacked compassion and understanding. Very disappointing.

Great surgery with one exception. Dr Steere. He needs to retire. My family have been with the surgery for three generations (soon to be four!) My grandmother will no longer accept an appointment with Steere. Neither will my mother. Both state he is indifferent to them. My mother went to him after surgery on her spine to talk post op/mental health etc and she brought up the fact she would like to lose some weight to hasten recovery (she is not obese but quite overweight). He told her just to eat less (he put it less kindly). This completely ignores the massive changes that had happened in her life

In flexible and unhelpful. My.appointmemt as for 3.30. I arrived 3 miƱutes late (3.33) appointment had been cancelled. Make sure you get there in plenty of time. I left work at 2.45pm but traffic was bad. Should only be a 20 minute journey. Can get another appointment until 2nd Dec. Shame they don't compensate for all the time when they are running late.

My two children and wife are registered with the surgery and we have always found the appointment system to work well and both reception staff and GP'S to be polite and professional.

This is one of the best doctors I've ever used. We've moved away from Neston to Wallasey but we decided to stay registered with this doctor.

Absolutely pathetic, receptionists are obstructive, practice manager refused my antidepressants for suicidal tendencies because I was "too upset". Wasn't prescribed said medication until 5 years into my illness and had finally found something that worked, will be reporting for medical negligence

Reception staff on the phone aren't helpful nor is the first come first serve system. Staff are a bit rude and don't seem to care about customer service.
GP care and knowledge is very good.

Appointments are easy to make online through the government app. Phone consultation gives the doctors more time as the time wasters are dealt with quickly. In the old days the first come basis was always full of people with social care needs not health care. So the phone introduction has improved the service
