Services
The Tennis for Free in the Parks scheme is run by The Parklangley Club as part of our community work, independent of any nationwide scheme. The scheme is open to everyone, not just Bromley residents, and whether you are a beginner or an established player, the scheme aims to encourage you and your family to play tennis.
We have the best badminton courts in Kent, let alone in the Beckenham and Bromley area. Our four court hall has been specifically designed for badminton - everything, from the lighting, to the sprung floor, to the spectator areas, has been done to international standards. Badminton membership gives you membership of one of our evening club sessions.
The Club has three glass-back exhibition courts with spectator space for up to 200 people, plus we have a fourth court with a viewing gallery. The Club enters a number of teams in the Kent League. If you think you've got what it takes to compete and represent The Parklangley Club we'd love to have you on board!
With over 450 tennis members at The Parklangley Club there is ample opportunity to play with others of a similar ability. The club has 16 full time tennis coaches and a team of part time coaches who deliver an extensive programme that the LTA holds up as the model for other clubs.

Our coaching programmes are unrivalled; whether you are 3 or 83, we can offer you a suitable course to go on, and you don't necessarily have to be a member to receive coaching. We are the only tennis club in Beckenham, and one of only a handful in Kent, to have indoor courts. Ignore the weather forecast, book your court online and enjoy tennis whatever the weather.
The club operates a junior coaching programme which allows children to progress from beginners through to County and National standard. Junior Coaching takes place after school each weekday except for Wednesdays and also every Sunday - our main coaching day. Children are placed in the group that best suits their ability and age.

Tiny, cheapish (not the cheapest tho)local gym. Part of a tennis club so only an add-on, not a proper gym, and it shows with the lack of room and not looked after.
Not much weights or gym kit or machines. Always full of kids and student-types especially during the day.
Lots of waiting for weights or machines so cant get a good workout unfortunately.

Unpleasant experience with this club. There is no proper progress reporting and literally you feel money is thrown in the air. Children are put in groups according to age and not according to their ability or potential. There is no proper evaluation process in place to allow children to advance during the year - you only move up each September because of age. The management culture is awful, self-defensive and not oriented towards finding the best sution for students and help with disputes. Really, if you want your child to progress - do not waste time in this program.

A bit like a home garage type gym...two small rooms & a tiny loft space - not much equipment (which isnt great quality unfortunately) or space and always over crowded and like a sweatbox. Health & safety rules nightmare!
Because its quite cheap, daytimes and evenings is rammed with students and staff... and a couple of lost looking older people - I guess they must be exempt from Covid social distancing rules too, as people are trying to workout literally inches away from each other, often bumping into each other mid rep.
And good luck trying to use one of the 7 weights machines... you can be

My son and all his friends had a brilliant time, many comments from other parents about how efficient the whole process was with so many helpers for the kids, worth every penny. Fantastic venue for kids birthday parties. Pam and her events team at Park Langley are absolute superstars. Make the whole experience seamless and completely taken care of. Just turn up with the cake and balloons. Entertainment is always superb. Have used them 4 times over the last 7 years and they have excelled each time!

I feel the bar area could do with some sort of refresh - while it's good they show lots of big sporting fixtures there needs to be more seats and better pricing. I just feel the experience is a bit limited. Perhaps a larger screen TV would be helpful?

Great place to use the gym, very reasonable price. Don't use the other sports facilities but they look in really good condition. Normally go in the evenings on weekdays and is never busy. Both staff and members are friendly. At the price there is no pool or towel service which is completely fine. Steam and sauna work well.
