Services
Sunshine Pre-school has operated out of Gorfin Hall for several years before Mel and Paul took over ownership in 2014. In 2018 to keep up with increasing demand and need for flexibility we decided to offer Sunshine to parents all year round and with no fixed sessions instead offering hours to suit your needs between 8am-5pm Monday to Friday.
As you can see below, our team is highly qualified, over and above any legal requirements, are all paediatric first aid trained and continually take part in further training and development. Due to Sunshine offering spaces for up to 24 children at any one time means that our adult to child ratios exceed minimum requirements.
As Sunshine a pack away setting, this enables us to change our indoor environment as often as we want so keeping it fresh and exciting for the children and us! Every week it can be set up new to coincide with our monthly theme. We offer role playing area, construction, creative and exploring areas daily.
Using the seven areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum (EYFS); Personal Social and Emotional Development (PSED), Communication and Language, Physical Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding of the World and Expressive Arts and Design, we plan and implement a wide range of activities to develop children's learning on a daily basis.
We work alongside parents 'in partnership' to provide the very best service for the children in our care. Our approach to engaging with parents starts here, and we strive to keep you in the loop with everything we do. During the recent lockdown we sent weekly updates on what our next steps were, our parents loved us for it and they returned knowing we were doing everything we could to keep the children (and parents) safe.

After visiting Sunshine we just new it was the perfect place for our daughter to go. They made our whole family feel welcome. In the short 3 months that our daughter has been there, she has came on leaps and bounds. All of the staff are wonderful and go above and beyond and make each day that amazing that our daughter can not wait to go back the next day to learn more and create new and wonderful memories. We couldn't of wished for a better Pre-school for our daughter to go to, So much so we have already put our 5 month old Son name down to attend once he is ready.

Brilliant nursery/preschool that offers fantastic child led play, along with lots of outdoor learning fun. If your looking for somewhere with that extra special something, you’ll surely find it here! We’ve used other places for our older children and I don’t think any of them beat what Sunshine has to offer.....If you don’t believe me, take a look and meet the staff!
