Well done to all our pupils who have returned to school with a brilliant attitude this term! We are so proud of you all! A special welcome to our wonderful new Reception class children who have settled amazingly well in their new class! At St Mary of the Angels, our mission statement is "Love Jesus, Love Learning, Love Life".
The children all follow this daily. It's a simple way of celebrating and remembering our Catholic commitment to try and walk in Christ's footsteps, in all we do. In our school family, we value and include everyone - each and every person is special and the achievements of everyone are celebrated. We work hard to be the best that God created us to be and this empowers us to love Jesus, love learning and love life!

History is a foundation subject in the National Curriculum and is taught in all classes, supported by relevant educational trips and targeted educational visitors, We strive to bring History to life; and to relate it to the life experiences of the pupils in our school. Please find attached our History statement; and the end points in History, which we use to assess pupils' progress and attainment, at key points in their education.
Welcome to St Mary of the Angels Foundation Stage 2! The children are settling in so well and it has been lovely to meet them all. We have been having lots of fun, exploring the learning environment and making new friends. At the moment our main focus is on settling in but later on this term our topic will be 'Ourselves'.
This year you will have three teachers working with you - how lucky! During this half term we complete lots of group, focussed work which allows for continuous provision. This means lots of learning through play. Hopefully this will mean that you will not see a huge difference between how you ended reception and learning in Year 1.
I am so excited to be teaching you this year, we are going to have so much fun learning in Year 3! In English, we will be using Stone Age Boy by Satoshi Kitamura and Winter's Child by Angela McAllister as foundations for our writing. In Maths, we will be blending learning from last year, to ensure that each of you accesses learning at the appropriate level of challenge for you.
A very warm welcome to you all in year 4, I am really looking forward to working with you and teaching you lots of exciting new things! We have so much to learn this year and we will have lots of fun and new experiences along the way. During the term ahead, our topics will be Ancient Greece and Europe.

A great place of worship, I’m a parishioner here myself and the church it self has a beautiful interior. It’s a Catholic Church which offers daily mass in the mornings and is filled with some of nicest people u could meet during your time in Worthing. They welcome anyone ,catholic/ not, with open arms and open the church to a sense of diversity. A place anyone should go at least once!!
