Our school mission is to 'make a difference' and we believe that education can truly make a difference in children's lives. Our team work tirelessly to provide our children with an engaging, broad and balanced curriculum where each and every child is given the opportunity, encouragement and support to reach their full potential.
We pride ourselves in preparing children for a rapidly changing world and strive to give them the knowledge and skills they need for their next step in education. Our relationship with parents is crucial and staff here go above and beyond to communicate effectively with parents as co-educators.

At The Oaks, we believe that parents and carers play a vital role in helping their children to achieve success throughout school. The maths work that your child does within school could look a lot different to the kind of work you remember learning when you were at school. White Rose Maths have released some short, informative videos to help with the methods that we teach in school.
As we enter into a period of being at home, please give consideration to excercise. Being active can improve your physical health, help manage stress and anxiety and just generally make you feel better. Please find some advice from Sport England that will help support both children and adults to stay fit.
Welcome back to our Year Six pupils, parents and carers. I hope you had a relaxing break and are ready for all the amazing learning in Year Six. I am really looking forward to teaching you during your first half term half term at The Oaks Community Primary School.
During this half term, we will be continuing to develop our learning skills which will include: building your independence, exploration and inquiry skills to complete learning activities to our expected high standards.Over this term we will be using a variety of rich texts across the curriculum in writing and these will be used as a deep dive - linking our reading activities and written work across the curriculum.

This school has amazing teachers that go above and beyond to teach my two children. Nothing is too much bother for them and I can not thank them enough for all they do, even in these uncertain times they have been there to help when needed. I would recommend The Oaks to anyone who is unsure which school to choose for there children, you only have to walk around the school to see how dedicated every member of staff is to help our children learn and grow
