Services
Recognising its historic foundation, the school will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the Church at parish and diocesan level. The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice.
Here you can read our Collective Worship Policy. We have a value of the year for 2020-21 which is Hope. This will be our focus for this year - Hope that things will improve and that God will keep us safe. We now use a Padlet to collate our Collective Worship sessions. We start worship with a greeting followed by our school prayer and the lighting of a candle.
We enjoy working with 3 other local small church schools to plan and share worship together. We enjoy our Worship on Tour events! We create a group of 8 children, 2 from each school to meet and plan a Collective Worship session. They then tour round all 4 schools in a morning delivering the worship 4 times.
We have learnt about harvest this year as being an opportunity to be thankful to God for all we have and to share what we have through an act of generosity. Mr Wallace led a worship on this and we looked at this verse in particular. In our prayer time we thanked God for all we have, especially our safe and clean toilet facilities.
As a school we like to realise how lucky we are and to be thankful to God for all that we have. Over each year we like to raise money for a variety different charities depending on circumstances. We know that the Bible encouirages us to be generous and to share what we have. We are lucky to have such a generous community.
