St Johns The Baptist V A Primary School
Teachers, governors and parents all work together in partnership with one common aim: to do the best we can do for our children. We strive to create an environment where pupils are securely challenged, supported and feel confident. Each child is valued equally and we believe that each child should be motivated to reach his or her potential, in order to take their place as a good citizen within the community.

We hope that you enjoy our website and find it informative. If you would like to know more about us or would like to arrange a visit, please do not hesitate to contact the school. We look forward to hearing from you.
Services
We would ask that you discourage your child from bringing a mobile phone to school on the grounds that they are valuable and may be lost or stolen. However, we recognise that in Year 5 and Year 6 mobile phones may have a part to play in securing pupils' personal safety before and after school and on journeys to and from school.
Children love stories - especially Bible stories when they're interactive, engaging and fun. Open the Book began in 1999 and since then thousands of school children have discovered Bible stories, during assembly and collective worship. Open the Book is so important. It's a programme of themed and dramatised storytelling.
Every parent of a child attending St. John the Baptist Aided School at Pentrobin automatically becomes a member of the HSA when their child starts at the school. Grandparents and other relatives and friends are also encouraged to get involved in the activities of the HSA which are aimed at raising additional funds for the school.
If you'd like to get involved it's easy. Every parent of a child at St. John's is automatically a member of the HSA it is the parent's ideas, motivation and commitment to giving their child a better future that inspires the committee. The more active members we have the better future we can give to our children.
There are six positions on the HSA committee; Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, Promoter and Purchaser. Each position is up for re-election every two years, with elections taking place in September. Chair - Emma Weaver - Emma is mum to Honey-Mae in year 2.

Emma is a massive fan of the school and the work we do and actively seeks out opportunities to raise funds to give our children the best experience they can have during their primary years.Vice-Chair - Jenny Roberts - Jenny is mum to Katy in year 3. This is her 3rd year as Vice-Chair and has been actively involved with the HSA since Katy started school.
