We are committed to quality learning in a positive, happy and Christian atmosphere where everyone within the school community is valued as an individual. We have high expectations of all and strive to provide a safe, challenging, exciting and stimulating environment. By respecting the individual needs of all our children and ensuring there are equal opportunities for all, whatever their socio-economic background.
By showing compassion and understanding for each individual situation that a child and family finds themselves in and supporting effectively. By persevering with challenges which may arise, in dealing with situations that children and families find themselves in. Always acting in the best interests of the child.

We provide a rich, broad, balanced curriculum delivered in a creative, exciting and imaginative way. We ensure children have opportunities for first hand experiences, practical work, investigation and encourage learning through play. Our curriculum is designed with the aim of all pupils achieving mastery in Mathematics; developing a love of the subject and an ability to connect areas of learning to solve problems.
It has been a privilege to be Headteacher at Willaston CE Primary School since 2006. Working every day with engaging children, dedicated, passionate and hard working professionals and a team of committed and talented Governors is incredibly rewarding. I have spent my career in the teaching profession working in four different schools predominantly in school leadership.
To improve spelling across the school we are pleased to announce that we have signed up to Spelling Shed, an online resource for teachers and children. The game gives four different degrees of support in the form of difficulty modes; Easy, Medium, Hard and Extreme. Higher levels allow a higher score to be achieved but children can practise as much as they like on lower levels before trying to gain high scores.
This year we have chosen 'Here we are, notes for living on planet Earth' by Oliver Jeffers as our whole school book topic. Children will explore the text providing opportunities to celebrate differences. We will also reinforce our school values of Respect, Perseverance, Compassion, Creation and Service.
