In the Model we have a proud and rich tradition of academic excellence, strong pastoral support and an extensive range of extra curricular provision and after school clubs. Our ethos is "Celebrating Diversity".We welcome children from all faith backgrounds, traditions, cultures, religions and none.
We aim to provide an environment that is welcoming, culturally inclusive and conducive to educational achievement. I truly believe integration and mutual respect for each other's differences is of paramount importance and is the way forward for our young people. In the Model we provide many opportunities for our children to explore a variety of cultures so they will grow up with a broad and balanced view of life.

Services
Our primary purpose is to enhance children's quality of learning through the effective and efficient delivery of the Northern Ireland Curriculum. 2. We believe that our first responsibility is to our pupils and our parents, to meet their needs and to provide outstanding service. 3. We will provide a range of educational and social experiences appropriate to the age, ability and needs of our pupils.
Good communication and a positive, co-operative relationship between home and school provide your child with the best basic for success. In the Autumn Term parents are invited to meet the class teacher for a private and confidential discussion about their child's progress.
The Autumn meeting reviews how the child has settled into a new class, identifies strengths and weaknesses and encourages the development of a working rapport between home and school.During the Summer term a written School Report is sent home. It is however, important for parents to realise that the school is there to help and that teachers and the principal can be contacted at anytime to discuss queries or concerns.

Our Board of Governors are at the apex of decision making in the school. The Governors are very supportive of all initiatives within the school. They have the ultimate responsibility of decision making, especially in the areas of curriculum, pastoral care, finance and recruitment. Our current Board of Governors is made up of parents, prominent members of our local community, teaching staff and our principal.
At the heart of all we do is the belief that inclusivity and mutual respect for each other is the way forward for our young people. In the Model we provide many opportunities for our children to explore a variety of cultures so that they will grow up with a broad and balanced view of life. The learning support classroom offers a range of learning approaches to support pupils with varying needs in a smaller class environment. All pupils have access to a broad and balanced curriculum which will be appropriate to their individual needs and abilities. Pupils have the opportunity to integrate, as appropriate, into the mainstream classes to work, learn and socialise with their peer group.

It is a great school I left the model primary school on Friday 20th June 2008 I remember my leavers Assembly the song as tears go by by the rolling stones played during my classes slideshow of memories that song is now a memory to me as it reminds me of my leavers Assembly. I remember every teacher I had from nursery to primary 7. When I was in… primary two in the school year 2001/2002 I remember a teacher called Mrs Hepburn she had long blonde hair and glasses one day in primary two it was her birthday my class made her hand made birthday cards. I have lots of great memories from my time
