Lovely campsite, clean and well maintained. Food was excellently cooked and the hospitality was great. I was disappointed to learn that the landlord and landlady were selling. I just hope the new landlord will keep up the good work.

We ordered 3 roasts today but we were each disappointed with the meat quality. It was edible mostly but not what we expected or had experienced pre-covid. Has the ownership changed? It was not like the freshly cooked meat from the carvery we had before. It seemed like it had been cooked another day or maybe precooked and defrosted but it was not hot and it was chewy and stringy. Not sure what to add other than the veg was good as were the desserts.

Went for a pint tonight, plenty of distanced tables outside front. Lovely cost decor inside, screen across bar, brilliant camra award winning pint.
We were staying down the road in our campervan, wish we'd stayed here.
On looking round the back of the premises, they have massive eatery, an extended conservatory, with a further outdoor garden. Plenty of space!
Beyond that you have the stop over for campers. Plenty of space, a toilet block and ample room.
Best of all were all the staff. The gentleman owner I overheard checking guests were having a pleasant stay, and the friendly bar staff who

Well I am glad I visited as a previous review on here per porting to be by me was in fact a result of my account being hacked. And if the owners hadn’t told me I would of never known. They must of wondered why I had booked in after the false reviw😂 I have deleted several reviews that were not mine. Not surprising they were negative reviews and were plausible as they were for places in the local area. This is an excellent place good food and great hosts. The touring park is also very good. Love the hot shower. I cannot recommend this venue more highly. You are made to feel welcome and tonight

I like this pub, beers always been good. Last visited on a Tuesday the Burger night, £5 for a burger and proper homemade chips, not huge but very tasty and filled a hole, absolutely worth a fiver. Thursday is pie for a fiver and Sunday BBQ night season and weather permitting.
