Services
We are a hardworking, happy team and of course we are also devoted pet parents ourselves. Our aim is to provide the excellent, compassionate veterinary care we all expect for our beloved fur friends. Our Vets, Nurses and Reception team love what they do, have a wide range of interests and a wealth of experience - we train continuously to improve and develop our skills and are committed to providing the very best, up-to-date advice.
We realise that in some situations you may wish to arrange a home visit, so If we need to visit your pet at home, we will try to provide as much care and quality of service as if you had brought them into the surgery.

We never really know how busy we will be at the practice from day to day, so if you require a home visit, we will try our best to accommodate you, but please be aware it can be difficult to arrange for a veterinary surgeon to be away from the surgery - we must also advise that in any urgent situation your pet will need to be brought to the surgery.
We are a training practice with a proud history of supporting and nurturing many excellent Veterinary Nurses over the years. Our student nurses work long hours, attend Bottle Green Training College and study hard for up to three years to finally achieve their well-deserved RVN qualification.

Our RVNs are fully qualified and have also undertaken further training to become Pet Health Councillors - they can impart a wealth of information and are more than happy to discuss nutrition and feeding advice, including helping you with weight management programs for your pet.Weight management is so important as pet obesity is such a worrying problem and can lead to many additional health problems for your lovely animals.
There are unfortunately some highly contagious and often fatal diseases out there our pets can contract - we must take every measure to protect our pets and limit the spread of these diseases. We recommend that cats, dogs, rabbits and ferrets are vaccinated annually. Booster vaccines are very important to maintain your pets immunity - we also love to see you and your lovely pet for a catch up.
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!

We take our dog here, they are good vets.
Unfortunately we cannot get disabled access to the building in a wheelchair. We have to get someone else to take our dog to see the vet.
Most buildings have some sort of disabled access, but this has none. It would be a lot better and more up to date to have disabled access.

Used this Vet as an emergency on call as my Vets were closed on a Saturday.
This Practice deals with the out of hours appointments for my local Vets.
Charged £240 just for the consultation.
I understand the emergency part and having to pay, but £240 for less than 1 hour and still none the wiser as to the problem.
Very disappointing.
A brilliant money making scheme for the company.
It's now Sunday my little fur baby is still poorly... off to find another vet...!

Charlesworth vets were amazing. The vet I saw S.Jones was amazing with my old dog Storm. He had just been on his first long car ride and she really made him feel comfortable. He gave her a kiss and he never kisses strangers. Would recommend these vets to everyone. Thank you from both of us!!!!!

We had a concern about one of our rabbits. They were really quick at getting us an appointment and answering any questions or worries I had. The vet we saw was great with our rabbit who is a little nervous! He was checked over thoroughly and we were completely reassured. Great service from start to finish! Thank you
