Rooftops Nursery
Rooftops has been established since 1994 by Elaine Walton, the Director, and is an independent nursery. We are situated on the top floor of Priestley House and are very fortunate to have two rooftop gardens. We are accessed via the stairs of Leonard Day House. The building does not have a lift facility.

Our premises are spacious and airy and offer lots of natural light. Many parent/carers have stated that the nursery is well worth the climb! In fact the children absolutely love to race up and see who is the fastest! Rooftops has also been awarded the 'Heartbeat award' for our menus. This award highlighted our achievements in providing good quality, nutritious and well balanced meals.
Services
Many of our parent/carers recommend the nursery to their friends and relatives, giving us a steady flow of children. This is why we do not advertise. A number of the children attending the nursery are the second or third child of a family. Rooftops really is a family affair! We are very proud of the impact we have made in their children's lives.
The development framework we use for two, three and four year olds at the Nursery is Early Years Curriculum called The Early Years Foundation Stage. We have' Early Learning Goals' which help us to plan activities and experiences for the children. The 'prime areas' of learning help to ignite children's curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, building their capacity to learn, form relationships and thrive whilst in our care.
We understand that it can be a heart wrenching time for you when your child starts Nursery and we aim to make it as stress free as possible. We want you to feel free to call us as many times as you feel necessary. We are always involved in working with, and planning for, the children in our care and we will make arrangements to discuss your child with you.
We provide a well balanced menu for the children, using fresh fruit and vegetables, fish and meat. We aim to avoid frozen and pre-prepared foods wherever possible. We cater for children's dietary needs, ensuring that each child's differing needs and requirements are fully met. We are very proud of our menu and have received the 'HEARTBEAT AWARD' from Camden which gives recognition of our positive role in children's health and well being.

Rooftops is a great nursery with very friendly staff whom put both parents and children at ease. My daughter Brooke went there from age 2yrs and settled in immediately- she loved it!! Brooke is now 8 and still talks about her time there with great enthusiasm and about how she would love to go back in the school holidays to help look after the little ones!! Thanks to everyone who made Brooke's time there so special. X

Rooftops is an amazing Nursery. My son Max has been going since he was two years old and he loves it there. The staff are all so lovely, they know each child so well it creates a really loving and homely atmosphere. It is like a second home for Max.
Each day there are a number of different activities for him to get involved with, including lots of outside play when it isn’t raining! Lots of creative play too – through crafts, art and singing. He has fun every day. The food isfreshly cooked on-site every day with lots of variety, Max often goes back for seconds! Since he has been at
