Niche is an independent casual dining restaurant serving seasonally-inspired crowd pleasers with a modern twist. Based in Islington, London. Our 'niche' is a 100% gluten, nut and sesame-free menu where everything is prepared and cooked on site, making use of local suppliers and seasonal ingredients.

Services
Niche is an independent restaurant relying upon bookings being honoured by our guests or sufficient notice being given of any required changes to reservations. Please be advised that a valid debit/credit card will be required to secure your reservation at all times. There is a significant change in the number of diners and this is not notified before 12pm on the day of the reservation.
All our lovingly pre-cooked dishes are made with care by our chefs in our 100% gluten, nut and sesame-free purpose-built kitchen, frozen then delivered to your front door. For a very long time our customers have asked for us to deliver and finally we are pleased to announce the launch of our new home delivery service.

Mediocre food, small portions and expensive. My burger was overcooked and not seasoned; my partner's potato cake was nothing special; the wine was vinegary. Didn't bother with dessert. Appreciate that it's nice to be able to eat with confidence, but when you leave knowing you could have stayed at home, cooked yourself something much tastier and saved yourself £70 it leaves a sour taste.

Even though I don't have an intolerance, this place was perfect for both my partner (who has celiacs) and I. She always has an issue with choice in places we visit so Niche was the perfect place! Too perfect one might say......it was a surprise for her birthday and she was so overwhelmed with the choice that she wanted EVERYTHING on the menu. Thankfully she decided on her choices and we were both so happy with what she was presented with. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were fantastic and friendly. The entire place had a cosy vibe and the location was perfect. We will 100% be returning

Absolutely amazing place. My daughter is coeliac so just knowing she could have ANYTHING on the menu made her day and we didn't have to worry about any possible cross contamination. The staff are brilliant too, our train into London was late so phoned to change reservation and it wasn't a problem which was brilliant as they were packed out. Clair is the angel of Islington, so wonderful and understanding as I was highly stressed. The only issue I had was that the amorous couple sat next to us were more interested in eating each other than their food but that's not the restaurants fault. I would

Niche is one of the loveliest restaurants I've ever been too. While I'm not gluten intolerant, the person that I went with is. It's hard to find alternatives consistently so I am very glad to have found this place. The food was divine and the service with very friendly and polite. A wonderful and wide range of food is available and even a special menu if the theatre next door is playing something. Absolutely will go again!

To walk into a restaurant knowing that you can eat any meal from the menu with no coeliac restrictions is the most amazing feeling. The staff and owners made us feel like family with their warm and genuine attention.
We had the intention of just having a main, however, gave in to a starter, the main, a side and then couldn’t resist the tiramisu!
Highly recommended, the food was amazing, service was first class and we will definitely be back.

The most amazing restaurant! Being celiac, it’s a nightmare to eat out and it’s often frustrating and upsetting having no options or restaurant staff not being educated enough on what we can and can’t eat and more importantly cross contamination! The staff were so friendly and the menu had so many options, and food that I haven’t been able to eat since being diagnosed. Can’t recommend this restaurant enough. Plus my family loved the food even if it was gluten free!

Absolutely phenomenal food!! 100% gluten free!! Been twice now!! Amazing staff! Great atmosphere! Great service! Will definitely be going again! First time I went with family and the second time I went with my girlfriend! Definitely my go to restaurant for a night out especially as having coeliacs disease has made nights out really hard and they've made it so easy for people like myself!!
I used to find myself with only one choice off each places menu. At Niche I can have anything at all! They can even do doggybags if you're too full!

My partner ordered 'fish super' as a surprise meal because this sounded like a nice GF treat and we like the concept. However i'm very disappointed so keen to write a review so others realise the online order is nowhere near as good as the restaurant - my main reasons are outlined below to help:
1. ParcelForce was used to deliver, the box came 1-day late as the courier claimed to attempt the delivery but we were home all day and no one tried the buzzer or called. The contents were completely damaged despite being well packed in sturdy box and arrived defrosted and at room temperature on arrival

Honestly bit disappointed, felt bad cause they gave us a free glass of prosecco for my girlfriends birthday but honestly the food was pretty average. The Yorkshire pudding was horrendous and the? Gravy was tasteless. The food was super greasy not easy on both of our digestive tracts. Sorry! The service was nice, but I can't say I recommend the food
