We can't wait to have you in our restaurants again, and we're hoping we can restore some sense of normality to life as we get back to BBQ business and doing what we do best. Even more exciting, is that bookings are now back open for dining with us inside of our restaurants. We're genuinely ecstatic to have our beloved bricks and mortar sites buzzing with custom and energy once again, and we genuinely can't wait to see you all.
We were born in an old taxi repair shop in 2015, housed in the most beautiful converted railway arch in Haggerston which became Berber & Q Grill House. Then we bought a camper van, removed one of the wheels, turned it into rotating kebab spit, and set out in pursuit of the perfect shawarma.

TLDR; A little gem of a restaurant tucked away next to Haggerston station. A good selection of grilled meats and veggies with a middle eastern twist. The mezzo and sides were the highlight of the menu.
The mains were unfortunately average, despite being cooked over a real coal fire. We had the slow cooked lamb which was served in a pita. Flavours were ok but expected more at £19.
The starters and sides are where the real interesting items are. The grilled wings were delightful and packed tonnes of flavour. The baba ghanoush and labneh (yoghurt) were equally as good.
The staff were attentive

I would give this spot 3.5* as it is pretty good but not exceptional, and service is quite lacking.
I had some grilled chicken while other friends had lamb. Chicken was good and well seasoned and the better value for money. Nevertheless, it wasn't unforgettable.
Prices are fair but service is quite sloppy.

Tasty Middle Eastern food, really cosy and intimate candlelight restaurant. It can get quite loud due to the layout of the store (arches, tables too close to each other). Good cocktails too. Relatively quick service. It is also quite dear. Busier at the weekends compared to weekday evenings. Waiting staff not the friendliest but professional. Overall it was a positive experience. There’s wheelchair accessible ramp at the entrance but unsure how a wheelchair could fit in. Toilets are decent.

I loved the atmosphere from the moment I entered. Low light, romantic, good music, friendly staff. The seats were comfortable too.
The menu isn't overflowing - a really good sign. And it shows in the food! I must recommend the baba ganoush - if for no other reason than the bread is stunning!! The cauliflower dish was amazing, and the lamb may be pricey but it's delicious!! I can also recommend the rosemary lemonade. Really looking forward to returning!

This place is fantastic. I love the atmosphere created by low lighting, ambient music and comfy seating. The kitchen is semi open and you can smell the delicious bbq smoke. We are loads and all of it was perfectly delicious, the sharing lamb was a sensation so we left with their cookbook so we could copy the recipe at home for friends. Brilliant date night venue, all the staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.

This restaurant was amazing! Firstly, the ambiance was cool in a converted train station (railways arches, whatever!). Secondly, the food was delicious and offered a wide variety of middle eastern small and larger dishes that were spiced very well. The only down side was that we had ordered some dips and halloumi and never received them (more sad because I wanted to try them) and only noticed too late. That said, among the baba ghanoush, seafood tagine, beef kefta, polenta-fried aubergine, etc, was delightfully full at the end.

We came here back in December. We were a group of 8 adults and went for the sharing menu. The moment we came in we got this feeling of being abroad. It was warm, the smell of the barbecue and good vibes were all over the place. You can see the kitchen were the food is prepared and drool whilst waiting for your food. I must say that I bought the previously and cooked at home for some friends and they were impressed. But it cannot compare being here. The food was superb. The lamb melt in your mouth. The honey hummous was fantastic and the chicken so tender and moist. The roasted cauliflower could

Didn't look like much from the outside but as soon as you are inside is available different story low lighting ambience, with bricked walls and rustic tables nice for a group to brunch.
We ordered a few things to start humous which was divine they made there's with a day of honey it hits the spot with some flat breads, some Baba ganoush, and a cauliflower with Pomegranites. We all got a tea or coffee to drink I had mint tea which was fresh mint and water be nice if they left some hot water to refill.
We ordered a main each had the beef kofte this was great especially after a morning of exercise

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. Had been wanting to try it for ages. The grilled meat main dishes were great but the cauliflower was to die for and the veggie sides were definitely not to be missed. Next time, I think I'd get more of the veggie dishes and one less meat dish.
Also, have to give a shout out to the bar. The cocktail I had, which I can't remember the name of, was delicious.

Excellent food with a middle eastern influence. Had a lovely apricot jam and gin cocktail followed by delicious dips and toasted pita bread. We also had the porterhouse and chicken to share with sides, the sharwama cauliflower as a side was a stand out. The cheesecake dessert was smooth, creamy and lightly spiced. Service was super friendly and efficient, I will definitely be back.

The goods: My food was surprisingly good, I had the cauliflower shawarma, which initially felt like a bit of a ripoff at £12, getting you "just" a whole, un-cut head of cauliflower. But it was delicious, and didn't have the somewhat overly buttery taste that it sometimes can have. With a delicious sauce and pomegranate on top I enjoyed every bite. (I can't explain it - it was just goood)
It should be said that it's intended as a side dish, next to a meaty BBQ main course, but being a pescetarian for the time being, that was out of the question.
The bads: Music is very

I love this place! First time I came here I thought "this is worth 5 stars...but let's wait, it might just be one of those good days...". Then came the next one, that same delicious slow cooked lamb shoulder, that very same spiced cauliflowers...all served on huge plates to share. Music is always top notch and it even gets housy bouncy on weekends, love this. Service is super pro, and you can leave your phone number on the waiting list if the place is full..which it is, pretty often. Before leaving, make sure you order a Monkey 47 Gin..One of my favourites!

Amazing amazing amazing middle eastern cuisine. The atmosphere is out of this world with this lucky find down in Haggerston under the railway arches. The cocktails shine out at Berber & Q, with the menu featuring traditional and remixed flavours. Every table seemed to love the display of the food, as it comes straight out of the kitchen served on massive platters. The food and the space is designed to be shared, and I think they absolutely nailed it. Even going to the Loo is an experience, you'll discover the sounds of Marrakech playing out from various speakers throughout.

Food - Awesome.
Ambiance - Awesome.
Service - Awesome.
The restaurant reminded me of Brooklyn, so it ranks high for me. It's under an archway, creating a unique and pretty cool space. Although it was busy we were able to grab a seat (for 4) fairly quickly. The staff was really friendly and attentive - service like in the states. Food came out right away. Everything ordered was on point. Seasoned perfectly. The grilled cabbage was the winner. Sounds boring, but it was delicious. The lamb kefta was pretty good as well. Portions are big. A great place for vegetarians. All the mezze were interesting

I give this establishment a low score for one reason: the owner seems more intent on giving the customers a "hip" experience rather than good food. Some of the food was incredibly tasty and I highly recommend the creme fraiche dip with bread and the beets with whipped feta. The sweet corn was very nice as well. The lamb was tender. But I would get it all to take away. The ridiculous booming of the music was at nightclub level. One of my dining partners had to leave and stand outside because the throbbing bass was affecting his digestion. If you absolutely hate your date and don

Had heard about this place through a daily email and decided to check it out with the chap. The place is in a railway arch so its not huge and it was pretty busy but the staff here are all really really nice and happy to chat and assist.
The food was nice and came on a sharing tray with both meals together along with salad and grilled pepper tomato and onion. We tried the pork belly and merguez sausage from the meat main with additional mixed and red onion pickles. These I highly recommend and were needed to cut through the rich meat Also, a special shout out to the pitta which was light and
