Love Lane Pre-School is a small friendly pre-school to the north of Newbury. We meet five mornings a week at Shaw-Cum-Donnington Village Hall. We have three long-standing members of staff who provide a wide range of activities for our children. In conjunction with Shaw-cum-Donnington Primary School we are offering 30 hours for both funded children and those who wish to pay for extended hours.
For every ticket sold we get 50p per draw, plus a further 10p goes to other local good causes. You have a 1 in 50 chance of winning up to 25,000! All you need to do is add Love Lane Preschool as your chosen charity, we will then receive donations from Amazon every time you shop.

Services
Love Lane Pre-School is a registered charity offering sessional care and education to the under fives. The group has been in existence for many years, and was originally located in the Scout hut opposite the Shaw Social Club. We are affiliated to the Pre-School Learning Alliance, have adopted its constitution and aim to adhere to its principles.
We have an opportunity for a highly motivated, hands-on, enthusiastic pre-school Manager to join our dedicated team of staff. Only applicants with a minimum Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Childcare, and a minimum of 2 years working in the Early Years environment will be considered.
Love Lane Pre-School is managed by a committee of volunteer Trustees, please read this document so that you are familiar with their positions within and responsibilities to the preschool.

We have a separate website just for parents, which contains a lot of useful information, including details of forthcoming trips and copies of letters and newsletters. On a rota system, each week we ask parents for a donation of fruit and healthy snacks. This can be a variety of fresh fruit/veg, dried fruit, cheese, yogurts, breadsticks or cereals.

My daughter has been going here since she was two. Sadly she leaves this year for school. However she has had the best start. The nursery is small so lots of one to one time and it really is like a family. They do lots of trips out as well as celebrating lots of different things such as st George's day or mothers/fathers day within nursery. My… daughter also had the extra hours (30) which involved her going to the primary school for the afternoons. This she also loved doing and it has really prepared her for starting school in September. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nursery

My son has been attending Lovelane Preschool for about 19 months and he absolutely loves every second of it! The staff are amazing and helped him settle in so quickly! It’s a small friendly Preschool but there is a huge range of activities to do daily and they go outside whatever the weather which he just loves. There is a great mix of structure… and of free play. They also have some great trips they attend which I think all the children enjoy like Snelsmore, the library, a train trip. The staff are just brilliant in what they have taught Oliver over the time he has spent there and

My daughter has been at the preschool since January 2016 and she absolutely loves it. The staff are fantastic and have been amazing with Lexi. Shes grown in confidence since starting here. There's also a lot of opportunities to get in involved with the preschool too which we love. Amazing preschool.

Our little boy has been attending Love Lane since January 2015 and had his last day today! He loved playing outside on the bikes and scooters and learning new skills through the wide range of play activities on offer in each session. He has grown so much in his confidence and understanding of the world around him! Thank you to all the staff who have played such an important part in his development! Our younger son is due to start at Love Lane in September and is really looking forward to it after his settling in sessions!
