Hello everyone, it's Roger here - the owner of Stanways Bakery - and I'd like to share with you some of the history about Stanways Bakery from its new beginnings nearly 50 years ago to the current day. It was 1962 - the year that The Beatles had their first hit single - when Pete & Denise Stanway launched Stanways Bakery & Confectioners in Antrobus, a beautiful, leafy village in Cheshire.
Our products are created and baked on a daily basis (Monday - Saturday) so as to meet all the needs of our customers and so that you can be sure of their freshness every time.
Of course, we use the finest of ingredients from local, reputable suppliers such as BAKO - a leading supplier of baking ingredients who have their UK headquarters here in the North West of England - and Poplars Farm in nearby Antrobus, who have been supplying us with the freshest of Free Range Eggs for many a year.

Well Stanways Bakery "came together" all those years ago in 1962 and as a family and a business we have "kept together" right up to the current day; "working together" as a great team in our bakery at Lower Whitley is a huge part of our continued success. That's a quote by Craig Claiborne who was a very well known US restaurant critic in 20th Century.
Of course what our Wholesale and Retail customers alike want us to make is fresh, top quality bakery products at an excellent value-for-money price.
