The Foresters Arms is a family run business on the edge of beautiful Epping Forest with views that go on for miles. The Foresters Arms underwent a refurbishment in 2017 giving a new refreshing look to a great pub in Loughton with bags of charm. The Owners are always around to greet new faces and old, with Lucy in the kitchen cooking up a storm or Daniel at the end of the bar telling a story or two, this pub has a lovely friendly atmosphere.
The Food is really something to get you going with all seasonal produce we are always rolling with the times & real ales on offer we really do try our best to impress here. With some of your old favourites (or your nan's favourites) playing in the background you won't be able to stop that foot tapping.

Really nice pub, we took our 3 children, 2 small one large and loved it. Wanted to spend the afternoon there, but anyone with small children knows that's not possible. Food was excellent and a good portion size. Great range of drinks fir the ladies. My husband likes ale and they only had one kind at the time, so he was a little disappointed. Otherwise, great atmosphere, good food, great service and nice drinks. I want to be there now.

This place was awful.
So they made this party just before Halloween for kids.
Showed up on time, nowhere to park. Managed to park on the street, but it was all jamed full. Parking was an absolute nightmare.
Then followed the kids party, held during a pandemic. Again, jam packed with kids. Probably around 30-40 kids in a very tight space. Really felt uncomfortable.
And all for a quick pound.
Won't be going there again.

Was recommended to come here by a friend who was here with their partner last week and they had a lovely experience. Cycled together to get lunch and sat in the garden area. My partner went up to the bar and was told there was no food at the moment although we could see food being taken from the kitchen. Became clear to us that unless you're white you're not welcome.

This is a fabulous pub, the interior is interesting but the real secret is the food: the menu, the flavours and the presentation are just great. Their Sunday roast was outstanding, and the desserts surprising and full of unexpected combinations. Staff is very direct what makes the pub feel like a family-ran business. Absolutely recommend 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
