Ordered a cheese salad as stated on the menu it was supposed to come with new potatoes BUT I was given a cheese baguette with salad on the side. I still had to ask if new potatoes came with it. Even the lady bringing food out said he had made the wrong thing. No offer to get me what I had actually ordered or no discount offered for their mistake.

A very nice pub with a great garden suitable for safely distanced socialising and house wine was quite good. However, I was told that the food I was ordering was gluten free although it was not - I got “glutened” and have been in pain and exhausted for 4 days now. I should have taken note of the warning bells in my head when I asked about gluten, as the lady at the bar didn’t seem very convincing when she said the chips and the raspberry “pavlova” were gluten free - it was a family reunion and I didn’t want to make a fuss, which was my fault.
Incidentally, the pavlova was not pavlova

This place is fantastic. Food is lovely and very good value. Drinks are similar in price to other pubs around Marlborough. Service is first class, bearing in mind we have two children who are demanding to say the very least. Staff were patient and polite, plus extremely welcoming. Specials menu is really good, along with the main. Homemade Lasagna was delicious as well as the Steak Pie.

This place is a gem!! The owners are really lovely. We take our children in for food and drinks and they could not be more accommodating (especially understanding with my two noise monsters). Good array of drinks, wine selection could be better but if they don't sell very much, not any real concern. Food is superb, just a portion of chips and a sandwich is a real delight. Have been for a couple of meals and will be attending for more. Main meals, are locally sourced and delicious. Clean, tidy and well priced.

A proper country pub. Nice chairs around a blazing fire, roses around the door, nice gardens, car park, good pub grub, reasonable selection of beers, great customer service, beautiful countryside, has locals and visitors, not gentrified or artificial, - the essence of a English country pub. If you are after the sort of English countryside pub you would see on a film or tv production, this is it!
