Great country pub with it's own onsite brewery. Always have an excellent range of beers that are well presented and looked after.

A lovely old building with log burners and a very pleasant atmosphere. The staff are helpful and friendly. The food is excellent and of a very high standard. The prices are fair considering the quality.

Amazing pub and food. 2nd time we have been. Friendly and prompt service even on a busy Friday night and super delicious high quality pub food. Had the squid the start which was a generous portion followed by the cottage pie which came with vegetables and the most amazing beef gravy I have ever tasted. Next time we will be ordering a portion of chips to just dunk in them! 😄 Will definitely be returning!

Charlotte and Darren are professionals, and it shows, the pub is welcoming with a friendly and knowledgeable team. The food is of a high quality but not overpriced and the rooms a clean spacious. So have no hesitation in booking again, which has been done and of course booking direct for the best rate.

We visited the pub recently, beautiful pub with lovely garden which was perfect for us & our dogs. Staff were lovely, service was good...but the food was such a let down! Pizza's were so thin, looked more like a wrap with ketchup & cheese on. Burgers looked amazing but were of very poor quality (both the chicken & beef).😔 Chips & puddings were good, thankfully. Such a shame. Our party only had burgers or pizza's and we were all disappointed.

Good in the past but at our last visit the food want great. Overcooked, dry fish and a bean burger that was well over-cooked and served without a bun. I don't know if they chef/kitchen staff have changed - hopefully it was just a bad day. We will try it again in the future- depending on what we find I will move my stars up or down rather than sitting in the fence.

Large, old pub with extensive range of ales - including some brewed on-site - plus very hearty food menu. Pizzas are very thin and crispy so not at all stodgy; the chips are perfectly cooked. Service is extremely good; the staff are so nice and friendly.
