Todmorden Golf Club extends a warm and friendly Yorkshire welcome to all our visitors, golfing societies, corporate clients and members. Laid out in 1905, our superb par 68 course can justly claim to be one of the oldest, and most picturesque 9-hole golf courses in the United Kingdom, and with its narrow fairways, testing rough and excellent sculptured greens, Todmorden GC provides a real challenge for golfers of all abilities.
Set in the peaceful and rugged countryside of the Upper Calder Valley, Todmorden Golf Club, formed in 1895 is set on a plateau 400 feet above the historic town and enjoys magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding Pennines.

We have a lovely course in fine condition in a beautiful part of the world and best of all it belongs to us, the membership. Take ownership, responsibility and act responsibly. Golf has many rules and a lot of commentators consider that there are far too many and that they are far too complicated. Be that as it may we are where we are with a complex set of rules.
The finale of the course is amplified, literally, by the echoes from the two tiered walled green. A green perfectly place for clinching a victory. A nervous iron in to secure the correct level would be preceded by a drive required to split trees that line either side of the fairway. The 9th tee presents a beautiful drive over water.
On a summer's evening our patio is especially inviting. Where better to sit having a drink, relaxing after your round of golf admiring the stunning views of the Upper Calder Valley. The well stocked bars provide members and guests alike with a light menu, drinks and a range of snacks. The Clubhouse is also an ideal venue for that special occasion able to host a wide range of events from birthday parties to formal dinners and weddings.

Originally designed by Open champion Alex Herd, the course was remodelled by renowned golf course architect H S Colt in the 1920's.

AMAZING Stunning scenery.
Very well kept course, I suspect much loved by its members. The course is worth playing for the seventh hole alone, never mind the rest which are also excellent. Nothing on YouTube prior to playing so I expect this is a hidden gem. Not sure if photos or videos are welcome so I did not make any.
Greens had been spiked when I played in May but this did not detract from them.
