Nelson Golf Club is an 18 hole course in the heart of beautiful countryside and is yet very accessible, being situated only a few miles from the major Lancashire conurbation of Burnley, Blackburn, Preston and Nelson, with far reaching and breathtaking views towards Pendle Hill, Rossendale, Ribble Valley and the Yorkshire Dales.

The Doctor MacKenzie designed course is a relatively short, yet challenging 6,006 yards Par 70, which owing to its clever layout plays mostly on the level. The Clubhouse boasts a large lounge, dining area, fully stocked bar, sizeable locker rooms, Professional's Shop with all the leading brands in golf and a large car park.

I went to Nelson golf club for a family 60th wedding anniversary. The bar staff were efficient and very polite and friendly, the buffet super fresh and very tasty. The meals which were served, i presume to club members looked amazing especially the fish and chips. I live in north Lancashire but wouldn't hesitate to visit again when i am in the area .

First time at this course. We'll laid out over undulating land. Very well presented and Greens were very fast. Well worth a visit, unfortunately food afterward was of a good standard though.

First time we have played Nelson, it was recommended by a colleague. It was in good nick on a lovely sunny day. Very friendly club from the young man in the shop to the club members on the course.
Many thanks

A very good course. Interesting holes and contoured greens in very good condition. Staff and members very friendly, reasonably priced drinks and good chip muffins. Will certainly be back.
