We are an independent opticians, established more than 80 years ago and based in Lowfield Street, Dartford. Owned and run by by Dispensing Optician Andrew Tremain since 2005, we aim to provide the highest quality eye care possible, state-of-the-art technology and excellent customer service to our patients.

Here at Linklater Opticians we pride ourselves on our personal customer service and highly professional approach, but it's equally important to us to offer you a warm welcome and make you feel as comfortable as possible. We don't want you to feel rushed during your sight test or hurried into making a decision about your frames so will always take the time to go through everything thoroughly and answer any questions you may have.
Most people think a pair of glasses is just a pair of glasses, but it's much more than that. Your eye exam is about your total eye health, which is why we take our time over it and make you feel completely comfortable. At Linklater opticians, you will never feel rushed. From the start, you will spend time with the same optometrist, so that you get individual attention.
You can be assured of optimum standards of care when you choose Linklater as your opticians. We're registered with the General Optical Council, so you can relax knowing you're in the best possible hands for your optical health. Not only that, but our practice owner and registered dispensing optician, Andrew Tremain is a member of the Kent and Medway Optical Committee.
Imagine if you came to us with a problem - glaucoma, for example. Under the traditional referral system, we'd have sent you to your doctor, who would have sent you to hospital. After a long wait, you would finally hear if your eyes were ok or not. But things are changing for the better. We're involved in a 'shared care' arrangement.
Every one of our patients is unique and it's our job here at Linklaters to make sure we understand what kind of lifestyle you have so we can offer you the best frames and lenses to suit you. For instance, one person might like to spend their time reading, surfing the net and watching TV, whilst another might be an adrenaline junkie, who likes nothing better than a bit of mountain biking and rock-climbing.
