The philosophy of Ayurveda is built on the principle of the five elements which are earth, water, fire, air and space. The elements team up into pairs to be able to create and run our bodies.
The aim of an Ayurvedic Consultation is to assess your health and wellbeing and work out the causes of any current imbalances or illness. Ayurveda calls your innate nature Prakruti. I have been attending Tarik’s yoga classes online since December 2020. When I started attending the classes as a passionate yoga student, I enjoyed the ease in which he took us through the various asanas with different themes each week. It was both energising and relaxing at the same time.
Later, when I started my yoga teacher training I was definitely able to appreciate these sessions even more. I attended a British Wheel of Yoga training day with Tarik as the tutor.
It was good to meet him in person after seeing him in BWY literature. His style of teaching is engaging, inclusive, he was obviously well known by other participants. The material was well researched and I still use the hand outs provided in some of my own yoga classes.
