Swales and hollows are littered around the approaches to slick undulating greens, so precious some are protected by cavernous bunkers. Blend all this with Scottish hospitality and sincere friendliness. Here you will experience a traditional links course originally designed in 1933 for the fishermen of Buckie by JH Taylor, one of the Great Triumverate.
Following his British Open experience, with five successes, against the likes of Harry Vardon and James Braid in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, JH Taylor designed the course that has essentially changed little over the years while with today's vast improvement in club and ball technology continues to challenge us as golfers.

Services
Before, during and after a game of golf, the club can cater for your every need. Our well-stocked bar and kitchen can rustle up anything from a quick Coffee & Sandwich to a three-course meal. For smaller groups our lounge is warm, comfortable and friendly, the perfect place to relax with a few drinks and reminisce about those missed putts or sandy saves.
A fairly straightforward opening hole with bunkers strategically placed on the right of the fairway to catch any tee shot marginally offline. Care should be taken in avoiding the large bunker across the centre of the fairway short of the green and also the two greenside bunkers. This relatively short Par 5 is reachable in 2 shots depending on the direction of the coastal wind.
Catering for members, visitors, golf parties, and special events is available at the clubhouse. Kimibck Catering will be available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays offering a range of soups, sandwiches, toasties and paninis, plus other meals. If you are planning a Special Event such, wedding anniversary, birthday party or funeral tea we will be pleased to discuss catering options with you.
Buckpool Golf Club is perfectly situated, the town of Buckie being equidistant from both Aberdeen and Inverness with their great air, train, & road links. Golfers will find that we are central for those wishing to play the courses of the North East of Scotland. Royal Aberdeen, Newmachar and Cruden Bay are approximately one hour's drive away as are the likes of Nairn and Boat of Garten.

Played in the Buccaneer Open on the 30th of June 2021. The weather conditions were extremely favourable and didn't really have to consider wind. The course was in excellent condition and demonstrated characterisitc links traits with a couple of the holes hugging the coast line, firm ground and some seaside views. The fairways rolled out and to get close to a flag you had to land the ball 10-15 yards short of the green and consider the roll from the dunes. The course defenses such as the dunes, gorse, rough, bunkers and narrow fairways meant you had to be stratigic with shots whether it be par 3

A seemingly underrated course who's members benefit from wonderful all year playability, often attracting players from as much as 50 miles away, taking advantage of the marvellous condition the course enjoys. The green staff in particular deserve a special mention, in no small part the above is down to their efforts, well done guys.
Looking forward to better times, wishing all, members and staff the very best, stay safe.

Have been playing here as a winter member for over 15 years. Always a joy to play and also a friendly and welcoming clubhouse. Every year a winter programme is followed and the work done is always of good quality. The set up is a credit to the committee, green keepers, club staff and members. Whatever I score I always come back for more.
