This delightful Par 70 course is just less than 6300 yards from the tips providing a good test for golfers of all abilities. It is beautifully maintained and picturesque with an interesting layout that will satisfy all who play it. The course is full of memorable holes; none more so than the 16th, aptly named 'Pond'.
This is a spectacular hole where a watery grave awaits errant tee shots. Forres Golf Course has hosted the Scottish Professional Championship, the Northern Open and the Scottish Young Professionals Championships - a testimony to its quality.

Interesting. Very up and down course with blind tee shots. Not the easiest walk. It's a must to play with a member to know the line from the tee. Buy a course guide at £3 from the pro shop. Greens were OK. Course very short from ladies tees. Not enough of a challenge. Paid £11 for a Sunday roast dinner which was a small portion. Bit disappointing. We won't be going back with so many others to choose from but still had a decent day out in their mixed event.

Didn't have a good experience here. Booked as a visitor 1st September. From the second tee was constantly kept waiting to tee off by the 3 ball in front of me. When they finally acknowledged me was told " there is no point in letting you through as there are other groups in front".
Was also questioned by the two ball behind me on how I had got a tee off time that day.
When I told them the situation they were more sympathetic.
Eventually walked of the course after 12 holes. Had had enough.
Thought the etiquette was to allow players through if they were being held up. Sadly not on this day.

We went for lunch with my 4 and 13yr olds, the 4yr old had kids macaroni cheese which was a huge portion! 13yr old had the hot dog and he said it was amazing. I had adults macaroni cheese and it was a big portion, served with chips and garlic bread, my mum had scampi and said it was delicious. We were recommended the onion rings and that was a great recommendation they are definitely worth it! The staff were great with my 4yr old who has a little trouble sitting still. The kids also had a cake each and said they were delicious. It was quiet up there and really well priced for the portion size.
