Welcome to Duff House Royal Golf Club, one of the outstanding courses in the North of Scotland. Proud hosts of the 2021 Scottish Senior Men's Open Championship. Our Alister MacKenzie course is ranked just outside the Top 50 courses in the Scotland, an accolade richly deserved. The course, which sets a demanding scratch of 68, is set in a beautiful, manicured parkland setting which surprises with glimpses of the Moray Firth.
The famous River Deveron, the challenge to many an angler, borders five holes and flows into the sea through the seven-span Banff Bridge, and forms the backdrop to the closing holes. Honorary member Ewen Murray of Sky Sports can often be found on the banks if not on the course. Nestling within the borders of the tree-lined course is Duff House, considered one of the grandest classical country houses built in the 18th century.

Opened in 1910, the original course was designed by Archie Simpson (who laid out Royal Aberdeen's Balgownie) and it was formally opened when a match was played between two of the great golfing "triumvirate" - J.H. Taylor (the then Open Champion) and James Braid - with Taylor's score of 75 beating his opponent by three strokes.

The course is a challenging par 68 for Gents or a par 72 for Ladies. It is bounded by the River Deveron, which proves to be a hazard at a number of holes. Duff House Royal has achieved an excellent reputation for providing an outstanding course with large MacKenzie two-tiered greens.

Fantastic Christmas lunch today for our yoga group! The food and service from John and his team ✅ first class 👌🏻 Not sure how I’ll manage 2 more yoga classes tonight though, as the helpings were generous 🤣 A few mentioned the Xmas pudding was the best they’d ever tasted! Everything was absolutely lovely, thanks again ⭐️

Beautiful course let down by a frosty “welcome” at the clubhouse. Checked in at pro shop and asked would it be ok to get a quick bite to eat in the clubhouse before teeing off. No problem just go around the front and press the buzzer. On the third buzz a young lady appeared and said it’s a members only club and wasn’t open to visitors. This was after I explained we had a tee off time in half an hour. The penny finally dropped and we were let in. On being seated this lady continued in a rude and off hand manner. Honestly I was aghast at such poor customer service. Took the edge off our round
