Insch Golf Club
The picturesque village of Insch is only a 40-minute drive from Aberdeen up the A96 and has a station on the main Aberdeen-Inverness rail line. Insch Golf Club is ideally located for golfers travelling along the east coast of Scotland north of St. Andrews and Dundee, perhaps playing the more illustrious courses at Carnoustie, Montrose, Rosemount, Royal Aberdeen, Cruden Bay, Nairn and onwards to Royal Dornoch and Brora.

But the test of golf does not only come from the major venues; Insch golf course will provide its own challenges and all visitors are assured of a warm welcome. The course at present measures 5,371 yards with a par of 69 (SSS 67) and has matured to provide a very good test for all classes of golfers.
Services
The game of golf in Insch was first recorded before World War I, with the course being laid around Dunnydeer Hill. It was then moved to its present location around 1923 where it existed until 1940, when the ground was seconded by the War Department for use as a grenade range. Golf was absent in Insch until a committee was formed in 1977 to provide the village with such a facility.
The modern clubhouse at Insch is probably the most friendly you will come across in the North-east. The large floor to ceiling windows provide an unrivalled panorama across the old course and up to Dunnydeer. The view at sunset is stunning. On the ground floor, the clubhouse offers separate male and female changing facilities for members and visitors, complete with modern shower facilities.
Just a wee note to say thanks very much again for the hospitality the Jolly Boys outing received at Insch Golf Club last Saturday. As usual we had a great time and all of the guys there commented both on the conditions of the course, the warm welcome we received and the quality of the catering. If you'll have us we will come back next year, I'll drop you a note in the New Year.

Played the Belhaven Open this past weekend. Brilliant course and very friendly club for visitors.. Every hole is unique, some quirky but in a good way. I loved it. Course was in great condition, especially the greens. Nice clubhouse and catering was very very good. Never been to Insch before but will definitely be back.

A good course, sadly the staff hassled us on a group outing to speed up our game when we were two holes to go and no one behind us. A membership gives some privileges and cheaper games but not the right to harass others who pay full price to play the course 😢

Challenging parkland course in a beautiful setting. Very friendly club house with a great caterer.
All sorts of birdlife can be seen out on the course from wagtails to ospreys.

This is a small friendly golf course set in the village of Insch. They provide drinks, coffee and tea plus meals at weekends (and some evenings I think). Very friendly. Nice golf course. Golf cart available for tent. Very friendly.
