The staff at this hotel were absolutely charming, helpful, and kind. Dinner/breakfast was cooked beautifully. However, my partner and I felt that for the price, it is very dated, over priced and needs a lot of TLC and updated facilities. Blinds in the bathroom were tatty and falling apart, the bathroom itself was very outdated as was the bedroom curtains and carpets. Plaster was falling off the ceiling in the hall and water stains looked awful... they should update or reduce the cost.

Lovely hotel but location is a double edged sword. Great position for the town but very noisy if room on the road side, as ours was. Restaurant and bar closed. It's rated as a 5 star hotel which this definitely isn't. Toilet broke do had to use one on the ground floor which isn't great in the night. Wouldn't stay again.

We were gifted a weekend stay here for a birthday gift. I can honestly say, the place is delightful, the food is delicious BUT what really makes the place special is the staff!!! If you are fortunate enough to… deal with the lovely Scott, you'll be sure to have a wonderful stay. The man is just made for hospitality, and goes above and beyond to ensure you have a memorable stay

Accommodation in Burford consists of staying in ye olde hotel, or the Travelodge. So we decided on the Burford House hotel. There are only about 8 rooms here, and it is located on the high street (so parking consists of finding a space wherever you can). The hotel also serves afternoon teas, so the front room is teaming with tourists, which doubles up for breakfast in the morning.
We stayed in the Sherbourne room (you can choose your room according to availability) which had a lovely 4 poster bed and roll top bath. The room is overlooking the high street, and can be noisy, when lorries drive
