Barnt Green Acupuncture Clinic
My clinic is situated on the border of Worcestershire and South Birmingham (West Midlands), and is easily accessible from Bromsgrove, Redditch, Cofton Hacket, Rubery, Northfield and Bournville. There are very good rail links to and from Birmingham city centre. My clinic is open for all treatments, albeit with lots of changes in these difficult times.

If you come for treatment you will find me in a face mask, plus a visor when I get closer to you. I will require you to wear a mask, and there is plenty of hand gel available for your use. As you can imagine every touchable surface is cleaned and disinfected. I am doing everything I can to keep everyone safe.

I started three years of acupuncture training in 1994 in "5 Element Acupuncture" at the College of Traditional Acupuncture (CTA), Leamington Spa, before completing a two year post-graduate course in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, Reading. I have been in practice since 1997.
It is believed that traditional acupuncture originated in China thousands of years ago. Its use spread to Japan, Korea and other eastern cultures where it is still practiced extensively as part of mainstream health care. It is also used in combination with western medicine. Whilst traditional acupuncture has always been a central pillar of eastern medical care, today, the benefits of acupuncture treatments are recognized globally.
With traditional acupuncture, we don't just focus on a set of symptoms; we look at the whole person and treat accordingly. Acupuncture supports the body's ability to heal itself. Most people find the experience very calming and feel a pleasant sense of relaxation with treatment. Whilst we focus on the whole person, if you should require help with a problem such as knee pain then we would obviously try and resolve that pain.
Helping women become pregnant with fertility acupuncture is a passion of mine. In 2019, 22 women achieved a positive pregnancy test naturally with the help of fertility acupuncture. When added together with those who went through IVF there was almost a pregnancy a week. I have taken lots of specialist additional training from different teachers and styles of acupuncture.
In eastern cultures, acupuncture has been used as a means to help increase fertility. In recent years the use of acupuncture to support couples going through fertility treatment such as IVF has become widespread. Studies show that it can increase the success rate by between 30-50%. Often women come because they have had unsuccessful IVF cycles before and are looking to try something different.
