Lucy Zhao graduated to become a Doctor of Chinese Medine back in 1983 in China and worked for the next 15 years at Anshan General hospital as a doctor before deciding to come to the UK to practice her skills in acupuncture in 2003. She has had her own practice in Four Oaks since 2007 where until this website she relied on word of mouth and recommendation to help build her succesful practice.
Lucy specialises in helping sufferes of back, shoulder or neck pain to recover where conventional medicine has repeatedly failed to treat the illness and merely helps to masks the pain. Through acupuncture Lucy helps to rebalance the body and treats the cause of the problem, which if left can deterioate into more serious conditions.

Lucy (Yu) Zhao was born in Anshan in the Lioaning province of Northern China and is one of four children. She graduated from Liaoning Medical University (LMU) as a Doctor of Chinese Medicine 1983 and is actually the third generation of Doctor of Chinese Medicine in her family, so you could say it's in the blood.
There's plenty to read on the internet about the ancient Chinese art of acupuncure - and there's no doubt that practiced correctly by a qualified practicioner it can really help with a number of ailements that conventional medicine just can't. Acupuncture treatment consists of the insertion of ultra fine needles into one or a number of points around the body.
It is based on the concept of Qi, the life force or energy which flows around the body and regualtes your health by maintaining harmony, balance and order. It is believed that any blockage in the flow of Qi around the body or any imbalances of yin and yang, two opposite forces may result in illness and disease if not rectified.
Iain (ex Somerset cricketer) - Sutton Coldfield. I had years of pain in my Achilles' tendons, in fact since I played wicket keeper for Somerset CC juniors.
Years of on off physio made no difference, then on one particularly bad day I came out of Waitrose and saw the sign for Herbs of China and a smaller sign for acupuncture, I went straight in met Lucy and in one course of treatment she managed to do what traditional medicine had failed to deliver in 20 years.I no longer suffer from nagging pain.

When it comes to food I'm of the opinion you are what you eat. The same can be said for drugs. I don't mean the dodgy ones they'll get you into trouble with the rozzers, I mean simple every day drugs like a pain killer or even vitamin supplements. I'd rather get a cure from it's source like eating 5-a-day for example. The Chinese believe this too which is why I like to visit Herbs of China. Here they claim to have a cure for any ailment by using the 3000 year-old Chinese method of herbs in teas and potions. It may sound mumbo jumbo but consider this: profit making companies
