Seafield Veterinary Group
The practice became Seafield Veterinary Group in 1982, having been renamed from R. S. Cowie and Partners which was founded in 1930's. We are a very busy mixed animal practice covering roughly a 30 mile radius from the main surgery in Keith. We have an enthusiastic team of vets and support staff covering our three surgeries in Keith, Buckie and Banff.

We pride ourselves in providing a 24 hour cover for all animals. In 2018, Bellevue Veterinary Centre joined Seafield Veterinary Group and became our Banff Surgery. Our Banff Surgery is a small friendly practice, accredited by the RCVS and with experience in treating small animals as well as large animals.
Services
With studies showing that up to 30% of all British pets are obese, it's time to start thinking about the waistlines of our furry friends. Animals do not need variety in their diets. Dogs are prone to digestive upsets such as diarrhoea on varied diets or table scraps. These problems usually appear in middle- aged dogs that may, by then, be difficult to accustom to a more healthy diet.
The first night in its new home is usually the most stressful night for any breed. Make it as comforting as possible with a ticking clock wrapped in its blanket or leave the radio on to soothe it to sleep. Confine your puppy to a section of the house so that you have control over its toilet training.
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!
Your pet has had an anaesthetic and may be sleepy for up to 48 hours. Allow peace and quiet during this time. A mild cough may be present - this is due to a tube having been placed in his trachea during the anaesthesia. Keep your pet warm, dry and comfortable; avoid placing bed in extremes of temperature or in a draught.
As pet owners, we endeavour to make sure that our faithful companions stay fit and healthy, enabling them to live to an old age. Unfortunately, our pets do not live as long as us and at some point, we will have to prepare to let them go. Sadly, few of our pets pass peacefully away in their sleep. Therefore, we all wish to do the right thing at the right time, fulfilling our responsibility and commitment in their final days.

The vet was amazing, helped my poor pup who had snapped a claw. Its a huge pity that I had to travel 30 minutes away as out of hours. £90 for a call out fee was applied to my bill too which I thought steep.
