Services
Bobby Morrison Funeral Directors was formed in 1987 out of Bobby's desire to offer a personal, dignified and respectful funeral service to the residents of the Lisburn area. Over thirty years later, this core aim underpins the company's attitude to our clients. Established in 1987 by local businessman Bobby Morrison, we have been serving the Greater Lisburn area for over thirty years.
Funeral costs are something many people don't think about in advance of a death occurring. It can be a distressing time. When funeral costs are unanticipated, the financial burden can unnecessarily add to the pressure and anxiety a family may experience. This can be avoided. Pre-arranging a funeral can provide peace of mind and can help save money.
Most of us, at some point, will be confronted with the task of making funeral arrangements for a loved one. A bereavement is obviously upsetting, and we are here to avoid any unnecessary stress when it comes to making funeral plans. If a death occurs at a private home or nursing home, a doctor should be called out to certify that the death has occurred.
All deaths must now be registered with the Local Authority using a green form, which our staff can make available upon request. A death cannot be registered without a green form. Occupation (if the deceased was a wife or widow, the full names and occupation of her husband (or deceased husband) will be required.
In the days following a death, you may need to consider a list of items and individuals to contact. A bank or building society - Accounts may need to be closed and any joint accounts may need to be amended;. The Inland Revenue - Telephone or write to your local district office and give them the name of the deceased and his/her National Insurance number.
