I am delighted to welcome you to our school website. Cwmffrwdoer Primary School prides itself on ensuring that all pupils are learning in a supportive, caring school environment. We value the links between home and school and the importance of working in partnership with families. I hope you find this website useful in helping provide a means of gaining information about our school.
It is vital for children to attend school regularly and punctually for all to obtain the maximum benefit from school life. We have introduced a new half termly 'Traffic Light' system as a way to monitor attendance at school. At the end of each half term, we will be sending out attendance letters to celebrate good attendance levels and to highlight any areas of concern.
This year at Cwmffrwdoer we are working towards the Cymraeg Campus award. In achieving this award we will be shown to promote a strong Welsh ethos and provide a range of activities that propel our pupils to enjoy learning Welsh within the whole school setting. To help us achieve this we have a Criw Cymraeg in school consiting of a number of pupils across KS2.
As the Digital Leaders in our school we are responsible for helping make sure everyone knows what they're doing when using the iPads. We offer training sessions to teachers and even sometimes help them teach a lesson. Last year we were lucky enough to take part in a Digital Leader training day down at Rodney Parade with other schools.
Digital learning is now a part of everyday life within a child's education. With that comes the importance of E-Safety. At Cwmmfrwdoer we also want to help our parents and children improve their own understanding of e-safety issues so they can learn to use the internet and all digital media in a safe and secure way.
