Llanmartin Primary School is a community primary school within the Local Education Authority of Newport. At Llanmartin Primary School, we believe that the primary phase of education is one of the most important in a child's learning journey and at the centre of their future development. Services
On behalf of all the pupils, staff and governors, I would like to welcome you to the Llanmartin Primary School website. I am very proud to be the Headteacher of this primary school that is found at the heart of the Underwood Estate. We have an 'open door' policy at the school and we always put the pupil's learning at the centre of all we do.
At Llanmartin Primary School, we strongly believe in the moral purpose of education and we are committed in creating a happy, secure and stimulating environment, to provide the opportunity for all to succeed to the best of their ability. We value and respect the worth of each individual within the school community and recognise their talents and abilities, nurturing and developing all pupils to their full potential.
We are very lucky to have a free breakfast club supported by a grant from the Welsh Government. This allows flexibility around parents' own working commitments as pupils can be dropped off at school from 8.10am each morning. Our Breakfast Club is based in the School Hall where there are a number of activities and a light breakfast with a choice of toast or cereal and fruit.
All staff of Llanmartin Primary have responsibility for caring for your child, although of course, the class teacher will be the person with whom your child will naturally develop a close relationship. Friendly inter-house rivalry exists in competitive events such as Eisteddfod and Sports Day. Every Friday house points are combined from all classes and the winning team is announced.
The staff in Dosbarth Chepstow are looking forward to providing your children with a safe, friendly and exciting learning experience and environment. We have set up fun and engaging areas for them to explore and develop their independence skills. We aim to enable your children be become ambitious capable learners who are confident and happy individuals.

Without a shadow of a doubt one of the best nurseries I've come across.. The teachers are confident and reliable, with an above average approach to their students which you can't say for many schools in this day and age, My daughter thoroughly love's going to school here to the point she'd rather stay in school than come home, They must be doing something right.. She's come on leaps and bounds since she started and continues to do so every day she comes away from there, Thanks Llanmartin Primary school & Teachers for your hard work and dedication!
