Georgetown is committed to raising standards and providing opportunities and experiences for all to feel valued and achieve their full potential. We seek your support and co-operation in achieving these aims since we see education as a partnership between home and school.
So that this partnership will give all children in the school the best possible chance of success, the partners must be clear as to what each can reasonably expect of the others. The following would seem to be the responsibilities of each member of the partnership. These responsibilities are set out in the school's Home School Agreement which parents are invited to sign, as each child enters reception class.

Services
It replaced the old school building which had served the community of Georgetown since 1877. It was constructed in two storeys with seven classrooms, a computer room, an After School Club room and a large multi-purpose hall used for P.E., school meals, assemblies, school concerts.
Since the building of the premises on the main site, a steady expansion of pupil numbers resulted in the need for a new Key Stage 2 block of eight classrooms being built on the lower site replacing the demountable classrooms. Our school caters for pupils aged 3-11years old. The nursery provision caters for 80 pupils (40 Full Time Equivalent), thus is organised into a.m. and p.m. groups.

We are asking all pupils to bring a water bottle (sports cap type) to school with them daily to ensure they are having access to water. Pupils will be expected to use these instead of cups to reduce the risk of spreading any infections. We ask that only WATER be placed in these bottles. Pupils are still permitted to bring their normal drinks for lunch.
