The Laundry Kafe was opened in 2016, on the ground level at the Natural Food Kafe, 55 Clerk Street, Edinburgh. We offer a varied menu if you need something to eat, and we serve a variety of specialist coffees & over 100 varieties of tea!
Also you can book an appointment with our in-house therapist for a massage or you can have your feet treated while you wait! We are open from 9.00am to 7.00pm daily, 7 days a week. A pick-up and delivery service is available for a small additional fee. You can also have an overnight service wash and dry by arrangement.

Obnoxious and disrespectful old guy running the store who kept insulting me and my wife who are visiting Scotland from the US. We understand humor but this guy was extremely offensive. Said it would take 2 hours so we came back in 2 hrs and the dryer still said 40mins - clothes were really damp.
I hope whoever the owner is reading all the reviews people are posting and cares about his business!

Absolutely horrible experience. Graham was rude and obnoxious to us. Insisted on finishing his lunch before he said hello, instructed us to load our own laundry into his machines. Was incredibly rude to the hotel staff when he returned our laundry. And he mixed up our clothes with others, so we had items that were not ours and we lost important and valuable clothing that we were counting on wearing for the remainder of our trip. Absolutely terrible, do NOT use Laundry Kafe.

Incredibly offensive and rude. Was so shocked after that, I chatted up neighboring stores if I had done something wrong. But apparently the owner is just a genuinely unfriendly person.
The only way I could explain the overall good reviews is that he might on other days employ friendly staff and not be present. Shocking.

A horrible man insulted us for about five minutes while we made attempts to find out about the laundry service. He made fun of my accent (Canadian) and told my husband he had a fat behind. He accused us of lying about our nationality and regaled us with his super skills at exposing our lack of Canadiana knowledge. He quoted us a high price for laundry and said he was stealing from us. He would not let us see the laundry facilities. After a while we left and he told us not to "go away mad."

I love the concept. We had to do laundry but being able to relax while drinking delicious coffee made it all the better.
The owner also watched our belongings while we walked and grabbed some food.
Very friendly.
Would definitely recommend this place to do laundry or just to stop in for coffee, smoothies or food!

Had a great time today, chatting with other customers over a hot drink while our laundry was done. Vegetarian food, hot and cold drinks, and pastries available, plus a large selection of teas. If you have to wait around a laundry while your clothes get clean, this is the place to do it. Tourists welcomed!

You gotta meet the owners Dad, he is a riot, a real Scott. The kid runs the place and is a great young man. The place is stocked with specialty and unique food ie. oils, sauces, tea, cold drinks, specialty coffee. Downstairs is the laundry machines, bathroom, and all that. Great location, close to the castle and train station.

I travel a lot with my job and have spent much time in laundries across the world... This was a truly pleasant experience - laundry is downstairs and at first I was a little surprised as I was expecting a commercial set up of machines - this is not that..
What a great alternative though - to sit upstairs in the lovely cafe having a great cappuccino, working on my laptop (free Wifi).
If only trips to the laundromat were always this nice!

My wife and I read over sixty reviews about how amazing this place is, well I can say they are spot on. Service is second to none and very interesting conversations. Coffee is excellent and so is the food. Totally recommend this spot if your looking for a place to do laundry and enjoy a great meal or just a cup of coffee.

I came into this shop a year or so ago, & had a really pleasurable experience. Today I came back in and the place has improved dramatically (improving upon an already great cafe isn’t easy!). They now have an exceptional variety of tea for sale, tons of healthy snacks, and a frickin’ LAUNDROMAT downstairs! Such a great addition, we had a lovely time doing office work while we waited for our laundry (WiFi is crazy fast here). Will be back tomorrow!!
