The Press Cafe and Bistro is a new venue housed in the former Johnson Press building in the heart of Cupar. Run by local brothers Grant and Paul Hughes, The Press offers a wide selection of freshly prepared dishes available to sit in or take away. Our goal is to use only the finest produce sourced locally from artisan suppliers to offer a high quality dining experience.
Whether you are looking for breakfast or brunch, cake and coffee or a full lunch or dinner, we aim to cater for all. We are also open late Thursday to Saturday to offer a range of fine wines, beers and cocktails in a contemporary bar setting. In the warmer months take advantage of our outside South facing terrace area to enjoy our full menu as well as smaller plates and a cold beverage in the Scottish sunshine.

As a lo sl I've wanted to come here for a long time, and finally made it this week.
The food is incredible, I had the scallops to start and they were cooked perfectly, with a lovely crumbly black pudding to compliment. I followed with the prok belly which was melt in the mouth, with a gorgeous red braided cabbage. Every single person at the table finished every course!
The wine and beer selection is fantastic, the staff are extremely attentive and polite, and they were very accommodating when we asked for a quiet spot for my slightly deaf grandma.

Absolutely fantastic.
Menu has a huge variety of items inc fish, burgers, haggis and more! Specials board nicely compliments this brilliant selection.
Service is fantastic and the staff are welcoming and friendly. Great selection of wines, beers and spirits.
Recommend the scallops and the seafood spaghetti.

Staff and chefs very friendly and very helpful and accomodating. Their food is always fresh and tasty, went plenty of times before covid and went there on Friday and the quality is the same top notch, their dinner menu is plated up like a michelin star place but the generosity of pub food (but 100% better quality food).

Absolutely fantastic food and service in a rainy day. A wonderful woman squeezed us in on a busy day and what a treat it was.
We had haddock and chips, an amazing burger topped with haggis and a chicken and spinach garlic pizza and all of them were presented wonderfully and tasted delicious. The sticky toffee was one of the best I've eaten in 37 years, absolutely ridiculous.
