The Granary
A charming neighbourhood caf dedicated to serving great coffee, tea, healthy breakfast and lunch options to its local community and tourists visiting historic Linlithgow. We are proud supporters of local suppliers, concentrating on seasonal, fresh market driven produce, homemade food with the best ingredients.

We have a selection of foods which are available for gluten-free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan diets. Everyone is welcome - whether you're breaking up a journey, out for a cycle, taking the dog for a walk (bring the dog in with you!) or just catching up with friends. Find out a little more about how the ideas came to life and where Granary came from and why we want to add to the great way of life in Linlithgow.
Services
We've taken a lot of care and spent time detailing all the ingredients for everything from the coffee beans to jams, flour to fruits. Our featured supplier at the moment is the wonderful Glen Lyon Coffee. They may be in Aberfeldy but their taste finding adventure spanned continents and oceans.

They're a socially responsible supplier - ensuring that the beans they roast on the banks of the River Tay can be traced all the way back to their origins and that the farmers are fair trade association members, allowing a fair price for the product.
My Grandmother had a health food shop for many years. I spent nearly every day after school there from an early age, weighing the dried fruit, pulses and coffee beans, helping price the products and serving the customers. I have the fondest memories of my grandmother's health food shop and this is where I have inherited my passion for the health and nutritional benefits of food.

Both people-friendly and dog-friendly; great use of malted bread and sourdough for tomatoes and egg dishes, as well as soups salads and pies. Highly recommend

Picked up a coffee to go today, which was great but have also sat in here for lunch and taken cakes and baked goods to go. They have a good lunch selection for all dietary requirements and the cakes are all great. Big plus, they are dog friendly, which makes it a perfect pit stop after a walk round Linlithgow loch

Lovely little cafe with friendly helpful staff. We had the BLT which was fantastic, masses of beautiful bacon and a huge slice of tomato on a bed of crisp lettuce. The menu although small, which I prefer, has some gorgeous and imaginative choices just begging to be tried.

I loved it. A busy cafe in a prime spot on Linlithgow High St. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and cheerful. They were happy to share recommendations and knew the dishes on the menu.
The menu was varied and in my opinion reasonably priced. I had one of the breakfast bruschetta dishes. Roasted beetroot, hazelnuts, red onion, rocket, feta and hummus on bread. I also added falafel and halloumi. The portion was therefore enormous and was really delicious.
If I was being incredibly picky, the falafel could have been less crumbly and a bigger plate would have helped as I was concerned about

Loved the artisan menu especially for breakfast. Kids enjoyed their pancakes and they engage with children really well- asked for their favourite colour and cutlery and cups appeared in what they said.

Pancakes with berry compote.
- These 3 generously sized pancakes were perfectly fluffy and a nice level of sweet. The berry compote was by far the nicest I've ever had. Often it's overly bitter, where this had a lovely bitter undertone but sweetness from the fresh berries mixed through.
▫️Scrambled eggs and avocado on a soughdough roll.
- Not technically on the takeaway menu, as it's meant to be scrambled egg on toast. But offered to put in a sourdough roll instead and were happy to add the avocado as well. The sourdough roll was soft on the inside with a nice crunch to the outside, absolutely

Delicious home made savouries and cakes. The Buddha Bowl made me feel very virtuous and healthy. My husband enjoyed his, too, with the addition of a lot of crispy bacon (not quite so healthy! 😁)

Sadly not great. Cake was difficult to enjoy and £6 for a small sandwich which had been in the window all day is a bit steep. Expected it to be served with something and not alone at that price.
Even the service was poor and very forgetful.
Such a shame as the cafe itself seems very nice! A lot of great potential!

Insanely good food, delicious soup of the day, plenty of vegan options. The nice staff even had vegan spread and warm seeded bread for our soup with no extra charge! Very clean and cozy, certainly didn't expect to find such a great place for a vegan lunch in such a tiny town.
