Wrangle Primary School
At Wrangle we have DREAMS: Determination, Respect, Equality, Aspirations, Motivation to Succeed. On behalf of everyone involved at Wrangle Primary School, I would like to welcome you to our website. We believe that our school is a special place for your child to learn and develop. The school maintains its traditional small school values, family ethos and has strong community links with all sections of the local community.

Wrangle Primary strives to offer a personalised approach to learning that involves pupils, parents and staff working together to ensure children achieve their potential. We aim to help your child achieve their best through enjoyment. All of our children thrive in our challenging, supportive, relaxed and friendly environment, where our aim is to encourage personal individual success in all activities.
Services
We want our children to be happy and feel safe in an environment where friendship is valued. We want them to be kind and caring and know how to make the right choices in order to keep themselves safe and be good citizens. We want our children to be able to respect and understand their community and their world by looking at what is around them locally, nationally and globally.
The government announced 1 billion of funding to support children and young people to catch up lost time after school closure. This is especially important for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged backgrounds. We will provide funding to local authorities for pupils with education, health and care (EHC) plans who are educated in independent special schools based on the number of such pupils in their area.
Read Write Inc (RWI) is a phonics complete literacy programme which helps all children learn to read fluently and at speed so they can focus on developing their skills in comprehension, vocabulary and spelling. The programme is designed for children aged 4-7. However, at Wrangle we will continue teaching RWI to children beyond the age of 7 if they still need support in their reading.
Pupil Premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers. In the 2019 to 2020 financial year, the school will receive 1,320 for each child registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years.
Children who read regularly or are read to regularly have the opportunity to open the doors to so many different worlds! Encouraging children to develop a love of books by reading to them daily, at home and at school. We use a wide variety of reading schemes and provide a large range of books to support our children in their reading.
