We are all extremely proud of our school and our children's exceptional achievements. All of our children thrive in our challenging, supportive, relaxed and friendly environment, where our aim is to encourage personal individual success and to expect maximum commitment in all activities. Academic performance is really important, but not enough; our extra-curricular programme provides opportunities in music, sport, drama and many other areas.
Our children love to take advantage of this exciting provision that we offer. We hope you enjoy your visit to the website and hope you can find out lots of information about our school and what we like to do.

The core purpose of the Church Lane Early Years Hub is to ensure the best outcomes for our young children.
The hub provides regular opportunities for schools, pre-schools, childminders, Children's Centres and other key partners (Such as Universities and Colleges) to work in partnership across the local area to develop practice through CPD, share some of the current outstanding practice that takes place in our settings, share resources, network and discuss some of the issues we may be facing.

The Governors are all people who are interested in the development of the school. They are willing to work at supporting the school and able to strengthen links between the school and its community. I have been a Governor for many years, seeing many changes including the building of the present School.
Church Lane Primary School and Nursery is a local authority communtiy primary school. The age range is 3-11. It is a PFI school meaning the school building is owned by a third party. The Headteacher is the nominated persons in charge. The School is open 8-6, 38 weeks a year and also has a breakfast club and an after school club called Nutcrackers.
Here at Church Lane, we feel passionate about learning at every level and we ensure that every pupil is given the opportunity to succeed- with pupil achievement and enjoyment being at the heart of everything we do. Our intention is to shape and mould children to reach their full potential. We believe that, in order to achieve this, we need a tailor made curriculum that is built around skills, knowledge and personal development.
Over the last few years the quality of school food has improved dramatically. Research shows that pupils are more likely to concentrate in lessons if they have eaten a nutritionally balanced meal at lunchtime.
By choosing school lunches, not only will you be saving yourself the time of preparing a packed lunch every day, you can also be sure that your child is getting the range and amount of food that will help contribute to their health and well-being.On average parents spend 450 on packed lunches per year for each child, which is money that could be spent on other things.
