Welbourn Primary School

Ofsted Recognises that our provision for EYFS is GOOD and our children make good progress. We create excellent opportunities for our children, including visitors and sports coaches, trips, role play and many more meaningful experiences. As a partner school of the Equate English hub, we pride ourselves in the developments that our children make within Phonics and Early reading.

The parent forum aims to represent the views of all parents and to be a voice to inform our school of the needs of children and families. The forum works to provide feedback on provision, offer a parent's perspective on current policy and practice and input into decision making and planning for future provision.

Over the past few years we have had children move to a wider group of schools as our school is well placed to be able to apply to schools in Lincoln, Sleaford and Grantham. Places at secondary schools are based on their admissions procedures, all of which you should be able to locate on their websites.

At Welbourn C of E Primary School, we support our children in taking the 11+ test in September every year when children are in Year 6. As part of this, we do not provide any formal tutoring or sessions teaching the test. We provide the facility for our children to take the test on the school site and support them with this.

At Welbourn Church of England Primary School we have dedicated team of supportive governors who have a broad range of skills. The headteacher of the school is responsible for the day-to-day management of the school. The role of the Governing Body is to provide strategic management and to support and challenge the work of the headteacher and other staff.
