A great start. Imane Farid for trying her best and joining in with tricky tasks. YEAR 2: Malvina Rubina has settled really well in class 2.

Old Leake Primary and Nursery School is all about happy, hardworking children having fun trying to reach their own personal best in all areas of the school life. Our motto is 'Success for all. Originally the village of Old Leake had two schools, one at Commonside and one at Church End. Our present school was built in 1973 to accommodate the growing needs of the community.
Sandals with socks may be worn in the summer - we ask that pupils DO NOT wear strapless sandals - they must have a heel strap. Pupils are expected to take a pride in their appearance. Where an activity requires children to wear protective aprons, the school will provide these. Children in Key Stage 2 are allowed to wear watches but the school is not able to accept responsibility for any breakage or loss.
Old Leake Primary and Nursery School is lucky to have a team of talented, dedicated staff who devote their time to developing the 'whole child'. At old Leake we teach children how to think and develop strategies for independent learning; whilst providing opportunities to develop social skills and self-confidence so they are well-equipped and ready for life beyond primary school.
It is with pride that we as governors work in close partnership with the staff and parents of this excellent school. Our role in the day-to-day running of the school is varied but the majority of our work focuses on the policies and strategic direction that the school follows.

The make-up of our governing body represents a cross section of our community, both in age and experience, in order to ensure that we have the widest possible range of views influencing the decisions we have to make. The Finance and Staffing Committee, which as the name suggests, deals with the money and people.
We offer a large purpose built indoor learning environment and an inviting shared outside learning environment. Our classroom is a bright, colourful and stimulating and positive learning environment. It is divided into areas which promote and encourage the children to learn and develop different skills.
